Were you at the match pal? Interceptions, composure, ability to turn while shielding the ball (McWilliams for example struggles with that), passing through the lines a few times into space in the middle.

Watched it on sky sports + I look for the impact they had on the game. Spence had more when he got on.

NWC, you quite like season defining moments -

"You are spot on. A relegation would be a disaster. And there is my point, we cannot afford to allow this to continue. Bad form sets in and becomes a habit and when we lose the next home match, all of a sudden, things look even bleaker. It would be nice to pamper MH but we don?t have that sort of luxury. He?s got 4 league matches to turn this around or he has to go. And looking at those four fixtures, Stockport(H), Mansfield (A), Bradford (H) and Northampton (A), I find it hard to predict more than one point as it stands."

Dear me, you are quite relentless arent you Brains. Please illustrate your claim that I hoped he would be sacked in the next 4 games.

I do indeed. I would say, that MH has just about got through those 4 games. Not convincingly but a foundation has been set. If however, we dont collect significant returns in the next couple of home games then I think the threat to his position remains. And so it should, the season is moving on and we will be in trouble if we lose any further ground.

And just for the record, I dont have anything against MH other than his performance.

He's now going for "best of three"

A win has certainly brought the worms out from their holes hasn?t it!

The manager’s job is always precarious

Win a couple in a row and Hammy looks the best thing since sliced bread lose a couple though and axes will be sharpened

The performance against Northampton was probably the best this season however the flaws in defence are still there and we will still drop silly points because of them.
