    Karlan Grant

Strongly tipped for January exit. Wow - the tears will start flowing when our 15 million superstar leaves!

Any chance we could throw Dike and Wallace our two highest wage earners into any deal too? Must be sixty grand a week in wages from these two

You don’t take any prisoners baggieal buddy
Grant disappointed in earlier seasons, but seemed to have a renewal…looked fitter and willingly chased back when necessary.
Recently, it has to be said, that his performances have indeed tailed off ?
He would not be a regular starter for me and given Mikey dominating the left, a move on would seem fair.
He would leave with my best wishes

😂😂. Just sick of dud signings Prando where we broke the bank ( 15 million ) and received very little in return. For me he?s lazy and his end product not good enough. Whoever does our recruitment must have a white stick. Be glad when our high wages players like Grant, Dike, Wallace, Wilds hit and Maja are off the pay role.

We need more young blood like Bostock but Mason does not have the balls to play him!

Any young player coming through our academy and showing promise will be sold; c’est la vie, you certainly can tell!

Personally, I'd be a bit surprised if Grant goes in January. Of course, if the aim is not to offer him anything when his contract ends at the end of the season, it would clearly be better to get some money for him in January than nothing later, but unless we can find a decent replacement I'd have concerns over depth of squad if he left. Mikey is clearly ahead of him to start, but if Grant goes, who do we then have to fill in for Johnston?

Ollie Bostock may get some game time this season but he won't be ready yet to step in which leaves us with Mikey, Illing-Junior (who is only on loan in anycase) and Wallace as wide men. I guess you could try Price but he doesn't look comfortable in that position.

Karlan won't ever get the goals we'd hoped for from him and (like too many!) his end product is not good enough, especially for the money we paid for him, but I have to disagree with you Al when you call him lazy. Prando is right to say that his performances haven't been as good so far this season as they were last but he did have an injury remember and having watched the full match replay against Oxford, I don't doubt his effort and commitment.

For me Omeg - Grant looks busy but lacks any end product. I would try and get some money for him in January because no doubt we won?t want to pay his high wage come June.

Don?t agree that Bostock won?t be ready because he?s got huge potential and who can say he won?t be ready until Mason has the balls to give him game time. How can Arteta play a 15 year old in the Champions League and we can?t play an older kid in the Championship or at least give him a go? I suppose that?s the difference between a quality manager and an inexperienced novice which is starting to show.

Does niggle me about our youngsters and if we don?t give any the opportunities then we can?t cry if other clubs like Villa come along.

I pray to God the Bamford talk is s hite as he?s another Dike and yes it will be more than Dike?s 30K per week. Perish the thought!

Totally agree with you about Bamford Al who has had his day now. As for Dike, to be fair, since coming back from injury he hasn't been allowed the game time to show what he can or cannot do. I get Mason preferring Maja initially but as he has been off the pace lately surely Dike deserves his chance?

What I meant about Bostock was that it's a big step up for him at his age, not just in terms of technique but in physicality. That said, I certainly think that he should get some game time this season as it can surely only aid his continued development and work towards securing a first team place. I get Mason erring on the side of caution sometimes but hope we get to see the likes of Dike, Bostock and Bany do more than warm the bench.

Totally agree with you on all that Omeg. Dike will surely want to prove himself too to get into the USA squad for the World Cup!

Maybe Dike isn’t getting match time because the club fears that he’ll be straight back to the treatment table. Cheaper to have him on the bench and perhaps bring him on in the 95th minute!

Jeeez. The club has made some terrible purchases over the last ten years or so.
