Not been brilliant has he? I know Tuchel is taking the opportunity to give various players game time but too often England are lacking in end product and Serbia have been allowed to come into the game far more this second half.

England 2-0. Eze, who has done well since he has come on.

Mikey on at 86 mins for ROI with 6 mins extra time. Too late for him to do much but sure he will enjoy this victory!

Good, the less time that he’s on the pitch, the less chance he has of getting injured!

I'd like to see him do well for his country but can't say I don't also share that sentiment Ketts!

As for Ronaldo, I see his reaction to his red card saw him default to his normal petulant behaviour but don't think anyone can argue with the decision given that deliberate elbow.
Beat Hungry away on Sunday and they make the playoffs.
Ireland have a quite poor crop of current players at the moment. Johnston lacks consistency. Similar to Mulumby.

You're right about both the quality and inconsistency of too many in the ROI squad Dubs (including our own Mikey and Molumby) but they played well last night. Beating Hungary on Sunday is going to be a big ask but their tails are up so you never know...

Two very good finishes for England to illummunate an otherwise pretty dull rubber stamp fixture. Serbia looked quite dangerous at times but lacked the quality to make the most of their limited opportunities. It was what it was ultimately; a routine win. That's that. Onto Albania Sunday. Come on England 😎 .

Yep, that about sums up the game! Some nice attacking moves amongst the mediocre stuff but too often lacked the final quality needed. I thought Bellingham brought some energy into the attacking movement when he came on but, as Phil said, his passing was sloppy at times and certainly not performing to his potential still . Foden (who I've often thought over-rated) and Eze looked good though.

    Hungry 2 Ireland 3.
Made the play offs in March 2026.
Styles was anonymous for most of the game in midfield. Molumby was poor in midfield for Ireland and got subbed. After that we had more control in the middle. Johnston not used.
