With our 'Burnley fan' owners we went through a period under Sean's management which saw us do very well for a club with our financial resources, however, lots of fans moaned that we should have been spending more and playing better football and were wanting the hierarchy to stand down.
Eventually, the inevitable happened and we sold out to the current incumbents with their 5 year plan. A plan which seems to have taken us from having 56 million pounds in hand to owing over 110 million at the last count and increasing.

The nitty gritty of the transfer market is alway difficult to ascertain, however, according to the figures which I have been able to obtain we had a net spend of 71.11 million pounds during the 10 years that SD was manager.
In the last 4 years since he departed we have a net spend of 114.39 million which is quite worrying when you consider just how much we are struggling.

I really think that, as a club, we have lost our identity, however, it is what many fans wanted and was always on the cards when we moved away from owners who appreciated what the club was.
Fans were so pleased when the Garlick et al era ended because they considered that the club would progress. Sadly...................
