it is common practice where pupils are suggested for the role of a prefect that teachers are asked to comment on their suitability.

One of Farage's teachers offered the opinion that he wasn't suitable as he displayed Neo-Fascist views. He wasn't thir**** when this took place.

Twenty eight former pupils have now come forward to confirm that Farage made racist comments to fellow pupils.

For the record, ditching the black and white and adopting a bit of nuance wouldn't go amiss here, (once again). Begum was undoubtedly groomed. Children don?t suddenly decide to up and go to Syria and know how to do it without considerable 'help'. But that does not mean that she should be allowed to return to the UK; it's highly questionable whether she could be 'un-groomed'. That's probably why the current government continued to oppose legal bid to allow her to return.

Turning to hypocrisy, it's not so long ago that voices 'on the right' (on here and elsewhere) were queuing up to decry the impact upon the UK Jewish community of the decision of the West Midlands Police to ban Maccabi fans from attending Villa Park. The owners of those voices now seem to be whistling and staring at their shoes at the allegations that a person who aims to be the next PM was in the habit of singing Nazi matching songs and sidling up to a 9 years old Jewish boy to tell him 'Hitler was right' before making hissing noises. Where's the concern for the impact that is likely to have on the UK Jewish community?

I have mixed views upon the issues that you raise, but if it comes to trust in relation to human rights, I would prefer a government led by a former human rights lawyer and committed to the European Convention of Human Rights than one led by a bloke who says that he admires Putin (the same Putin who is implicated in the murder of people in the UK with Polonium and a nerve agent) and who is alleged to have repeatedly said that Hitler was right.
