I am sure you couldn’t do any worse, CiB. Clearly no communication between Laurent and Flemming. A poor header from Flemming from a lovely cross from Edwards.

Parker really needs to look at the talent of the individuals and play attack minded, skilful players like Edwards, Tr?sor, Hannibal when he gets over his ban. Along with Foster who makes good runs, could give defences something to think about. Play Tchouana in midfield as well. We are giving defensive units too easy a ride at the moment with nothing to think about.

We may still lose but at least we will be on the front foot and trouble the opposition. We also need to close down the opposition with coverage from the back, just as our opposition does.

A final word for Pires. He actually got corners to the back post. Well done to him. Perhaps explain to Hartman how to do it.

Give credit where it is due. It's true we don't have enough quality players, but you couldn't fault anyone for lack of effort. Edwards and Pires both deserve a run, Walker is going backwards unfortunately, too old?
I don't understand what is allowed or not allowed at corners anymore. Gordon bangs Dubrovka around making no attempt to jump for the ball and that's not a foul! Hope restored to some extent at least.

Ekdal gives away a silly corner.
    Goldilocks fiddles with Dubravka.
No VAR check on the assault.
We then give away a silly penalty and go down to ten men.
Ugochukwa irresponsibly decides to play volleyball to concede another totally unnecessary penalty.
Edwards plays a superb ball to the back post in the final seconds, three Burnley forwards decide to let each other knock it in and none of them does.
That's a game we should not have lost.
I would not blame Parker if he got hammered last night.

Cardy made changes but there are fundamental problems. The biggest problem is the lack of quality at this level. I don?t like criticising players, many of whom are trying their best. However, Cullen for example, sent over a couple of long balls that a League 2 defender could cope with all day.

Another problem is the space that we give the opposition. When we had possession so often two or three Newcastle players surrounded our player whilst Newcastle had the freedom of the pitch on too many occasions.

Then there are individual performances - Dubrovka beaten from a corner, Worral 6 yards out puts it 8 yards wide, Broja can?t jump, Foster anonymous, JBL under no pressure sends in a ball that not even Crouch could reach, Walker senseless fouls on the half way line, Florentino needs time in League 2 as he isn?t PL quality.

And then we have Cardy. The style of play has no identity. He is reluctant to play attacking footballers. He brought Edward?s on with about 1 minute to play. Edward?s created a good chance in that one minute.
Another problem is the space that we give the opposition. When we had possession so often two or three Newcastle players surrounded our player whilst Newcastle had the freedom of the pitch on too many occasions.

This is an inherent problem Swiss as VK tactics also allowed teams time space and feee reign at delivering ball into our box.

We?re fairly reasonable and loyal people Burnley fans and I?m a lot like ballcock in that I like Parker as a person he?s speaks well and. Cares - the problem is I think he?s a bit lost with what to do - can?t see wood for the trees.

There?s been a lot of slagging players off in this thread and others tbh which is a little uncalled for.

I honestly believe that the toon game was a clutch at straws for Parker for example swapping the left back - Hartman is now the next victim of the mob - I go
On and watch at home ( not
Much away now as my dads too old for
The travel and walking ) but I cannot see how he has got singled out and pires comes in from not even a cameo performance up
    To now.

We had some decent footballer s and in reality they are delivering Parker?s tactics his formations his ideas.

What happens is imo the dressing room is struggling from - players playing when they?re underperforming ( pick themselves ) players on the bench who are better options than the starters - it needs new ideas and discipline and some structure and purpose to where we are going ( if it?s relegation at least let?s give it a go and not go down without fight ).

While we?re on it Walker is another who?s getting criticised but we?re forgetting he came from a team where the pass he played was forced ( second nature without thinking ) because his teams mates only wanted to go one way - forwards.

I have watched him receive the ball and look but the midfield and or forwards don?t offer or drag players in and out - they are schooled and far more cohesive with going sideways or backwards.

After all the above you sometimes have to accept that players are better than others - quicker - physically etc etc - at the end though they are all exceptional to even be at this level and if you pull the layers back ithey will do - deliver what they?re told to do - I don?t see any change or attempted change to how we set up - play at all we will just keep doing the same things over and over again ( opposition managers at this level are much clever than that ) you get worked out found out beaten and dispatched in 95 mins

Players will always have under par games and not perform on occasion , the steering of the ship though remains constant.

I?ve read this morning Parker says he?s disappointed with Hannibal and his ban - he doesn?t play him so it?s irrelevant really imo

So I don?t know if Parker can break the mould and try to change it up ( even if he?s capable of that ).
But I can?t blame the players just yet and we certainly haven?t reached a point where we decided to roll our sleeves up and and just have a go.

I speak a lot with a guy at the BBC local sport and he has a inside access to Leeds with the team and he said literally at Man City at half time they had the arguments - farke changed the shape and said if we lose we lose with pride ( they were robbed in that game ) but for me a corner was turned - are they good enough - time will tell - we haven?t got there yet.

Parker does not have a clue what is best eleven is or how to deploy them. However we look at it we came out on the bad side of the result on Saturday when a point was there for the taking.

If we could get in a proper number nine and move Foster and Broja on we might start making some headway.

Foster and Broja are the worst pairing up top I have ever seen in a Clarets line-up.

I used to like the old Heath-Robinson partnership, best named pairing ever.

Happy days those mon ami, getting into 'Blue Remembered Hills' territory with those two. Ingsey/Vokesey weren't bad while it lasted either.

I will never forget Vokeseys header that sank Belgium in 2016.I was living in Catalunia at the time and me and my son watched the game over a few beers.I was screaming get in Vokesy and all the Catalunians thought I was mad.Dont worry I wont mention Barcelona.
