    Trump again!

He is now claiming that Starmer is seeking to join the war now that victory is won. A bit like the US joining WW2 three years too late and then claiming that they won the war. Anyway, what victory? He is an absolute imbecile.

Yep, and it's telling that Blair (who got us into the war with Iraq by blindly following Bush) is being similarly critical of Starmer. Then again, both Badenoch and Farage are also saying the same.

I don't rate him as a PM, but on this issue I believe that Starmer has got it right-however repulsive their regime, there did not seem any reasonable or lawful grounds for Trump's initial attack on Iran and so he decided that the UK should not be part of it but when Iran's rather scatter-gun response put UK citizens and facilities at risk he took defensive military action.

Difficult to see Trump's end game here, not least because of all the mixed messages coming out of the White House. Some of those rumoured to have been seen by the US as potential replacement leaders have also already been killed in the strikes and the actions of the US and Israel have only led to wider instability in the region along with the global impact on oil prices.

Ukraine will doubtless be happy as the supply of Iranian made drones to Russia will have been severely hampered but this seems more of a side benefit of Trump's actions rather than a deliberate consideration-if Trump was that concerned for Ukraine he would have been far more supportive of Zelensky against Putin in the first place.

These latest comments from the Toddler in Chief should come as no surprise though. He is a narcissist who shows no grasp of history and demonstrates no respect to anyone unless they are brown-nosing him.

Ukraine may not be so happy as the stocks of US weapons and munitions are being used up at an alarming rate, these are munitions that could otherwise be used effectively by Ukraine. Unfortunately, Putin may be quite pleased with all this!

As you say, Blair took us into an illegal war and should be the last person to make comment. I am also in agreement that Starmer is not a good PM but is correct on this issue.

I would find it very difficult if I was Starmer to not tell Trump, that I fully respect what he has said in so much, that he does not require any assistance from the UK and as such, we will not be sending any military assistance, and Donald, tell your planes to Foxtrot Oscar from our British airfields.

Have a nice day Donald thinking of the good times you had with Epstein.

Trump, in my opinion, is unhinged, although he is probably correct in trying to rid the World of an appalling Islamic regime, which is a threat to the World and even its own people. I don?t blame Israel, either, for removing the permanent threat to their existence from the mad Mullahs of Iran. Starmer, though, is as useful as a cardboard cutout, unfit to be PM.

Bang on with your post Ketts! Regardless, Trump is doing the world a favour by eliminating that regime. Likability for me never comes into it.

Starmer is an absolute laughing stock and should look at Meloni for a good strong leader!

I thought you might have respect for her for some reason?

I think Starmer has done well on this one and actually represents the people.

No he does not represent the people. The armed forces think he?s an embarrassment. I have a close family member on the Cyprus base in the RAF! They all think he?s a joke,

The only boat he?s ever stopped in the channel is still docked!! Even the Greeks and French are there FFS!

As in, we didnt want anything to do with Iraq, we dont want anything to do with Iran and we need to move away from that orange bully.

Good to have another thread on the boats though 👍
