It just feels like a change would be best for all parties.
I agree. He's too old. One of many reasons why I hope a change happens quickly and people remember the good times.

Remember the state we were in when Tony Stewart took over the club?

I think almost everyone does, and the good times we?ve enjoyed. But all good things and all that. Nothing lasts forever. Yes, cliches, but they become cliches for a reason. I think our only hope is that the new director has an ambition and a willingness to take over and run the club himself. Maybe his current standing is by way of proving to Tony that he?s worthy, after previous rumoured investors were turned away? I know he?s said not, but he?s never going to come in and say ?I?ve got my eye on a takeover? is he.

Beau, can see him being in charge but probably put someone else to run it, I think he's too busy to run RUFC?

Been said Phil Smith has come into the club, to look at ways in helping it move forward.
Perhaps he will take note on what Paul Douglas brings to the club.
If as Paul Douglas is just Tony Stewarts messenger man [goffer], Phil Smith may think
why do the club need him. when the owner / chairman can speak himself.
If Tony Stewart sells up, & Phil Smith has something to do with the club, it could be the
end of Paul Douglas time with the Millers.

I've always thought that commercially we're a few years off the curve (not a COO issue in most structures), and obviously on the pitch we're in a mess (again, not really a COO issue in the context of a football club), but I've seen little to suggest PD is anything short of what you'd expect from someone in his role in a club of this size. Unless my guess at the sort of remuneration he'll receive is way off, it's not a role I think many would fancy, considering the options they'd have to be at that salary level in the first place and the amount of pressure/grief his role comes with.

Great title. Thought it was a Rolling Stones thread.
