Apparently Steve McClaren was at a home game recently. Back in 2015 Clark was due to become McClarens assistant at Newcastle but it didn't end up happening. So there is a link between the 2. I might be way off mark here but see where I'm going with this?
I'm guessing we would have to be impressed if the ex England manager became our manager

They just need to make a decision and announce it NOW! We've been here before with a certain Mr Warnock and ended up being way behind with our pre season and recruitment. Clark apparently helping with the retained list and pre season stuff, why if he's not got the gig! Whoever comes in needs to have those players as fit as Warney did. Lots of rubbish on the Internet calling out Ross Burbery saying he's the one who's been injuring all the players with his so called SAS style training, well not according to Clark who says they're not fit enough! Burbery was here under Warne aswell. People with agendas against anyone accociaited with Hamshaw me thinks! Get it done and announced if you want to keep the fans onside and keen to renew!

Interesting. I heard a tantalising rumour- along similiar lines. All I was told was that 'if we thought the Lee Clark appointment was unexpected, it has nothing on the next announcement'
