For what they do, yes they are for years - I know that for a fact.

Under valued and under paid now they are expected to continue working on the front line.

and the people were right if they chose to smoke they put themselves and those around them under threat
and they could have got run over by a bus
but the fact remains even this far into the virus you are more likely to know someone who has been diagnosed with cancer than caught the virus

and the survival rate from the virus is a lot higher than cancer
so i know what i would prefer

Please do not lecture me on cancer. In recent years I have lost a son, a brother and two cousins to that horrible disease.
Of course you have a far better chance of dying of a cancer than of this virus.
But cancer is not a communicable disease.
You do not catch it by touching an infected surface.
And although the death rate for Covid-19 is relatively low, it is still much much higher than "normal" strains of flu.

Your ancestor in medieval times probably dismissed bubonic plague as "no worse than good old TB".

The fact is that even just one extra person dying of this virus is one too many.
And even us oldies would like a few more years thank you very much.

I sincerely hope no-one you love falls victim, but as I say, you are the sort of person who would have had my old dad banging his head on the wall.
But hell - what did he know? He was just a doctor and a specialist in public health. You know - an expert.
Not in the same league as some f***wit on the internet.

my niece is a nurse and so is my sister inlaw my other niece has just becoem a teacher

paid very well for what they do


they do valued jobs and are paid very well

certainly not buttons
does a ward nurse do maore than someone working in a care home for the less firm
or even a paremedic

done 1 hour in the gym today (cycle and treadmill)and 8 miles on the bike going and coming
i have also carried two matress cleaning machines up and down stairs in an elderly persons retiremnt home for about 2 hours
and tonight have two sessions of coaching of about 45 miniutes each

day of tomorrow hthought so you might do it tomorrow
