Did we not sign Edwards & Fuchs after the season had started last year?

Every team would like to get there new recruits in early, and get them training and playing pre-season games with their team mates asap. But TBF on the club, sometimes it's worth waiting for the right player.

It paid off with Fuchs. And if we can bring similar quality to him in - albeit a few weeks into the season - I think it will be worth the wait.

But we definately need one or two in that will automatically be contenders for a 1st team Jersey.

Agree. But... did we not have to wait a good while to get them fully match fit and positioned properly?

Both had injury issues that hampered their starts. Both now look great.

We also could (could) be in a very low position (due to hard early fixtures of course) before we get any late signings up to speed.

We could also, do what we did before, and get far more points than predicted.

Half ful gless a wee bit wobbit

Agree with you. Not ideal, but if we get a better player through waiting a wee but then that is understandable.

Motherwell In: Juhani Ojala, defender (Vejle); Callum Slattery, midfielder (Southampton, undisclosed); Darragh O'Connor, defender (Leicester City); Liam Kelly, goalkeeper (Queens Park Rangers, loan to permanent); Connor Shields, forward (Queen Of The South); Kaiyne Woolery, forward (Tranmere Rovers); Justin Amaluzor, forward (Maidstone United); Kevin van Veen, forward (S****horpe United); Mich'el Parker, midfielder (unattached).

So 9 in so far, and a Finnish international CB today makes 10.

Alexander is building a new side.

Yip have heard motherwell keep bringing in new players but no one mentions they lost 17 at end of season so naturally they are bringing in new players enmasse.Obviously it is different if you are just looking for two or three to fit in than bringing in a whole squad.

That's a huge turnover of players, risky. You only have to look at us previously to see how that can turn out.
