True, but they've signed a few younger players too. Looks like they have big ambitions. They also have a manager with multiple promotions on his CV, which is something we can't say.

As mentioned by someone else the transfer window hasn’t even opened?
These are players that have been released. Then there’s players under contract till the end of June clubs are trying to renew which we can’t sign yet and players with longer contracts.

Agreed, not many players that age would be interesting Notts, although I remember this time last season everyone wetting themselves in excitement of McGoldricks arrival, only to complain later in the season about how he was past it.

A couple of players we might have been in for have gone elsewhere.

    Croasdale to Port Vale

    Thomas to Carlisle

Ah Croasdale would have been a decent signing for us. Probably a bit on the expensive/old side for our strategy though, so fair enough.

    I certainly don’t think he’s past it.
12 goals playing behind the striker is not bad. I think he struggled after his injury.
We just need to manage his game time better next season.

Does anyone know if the players ‘allowed to seek opportunities elsewhere’ are still at the club or have they mutually agreed to cancel their contracts? I assume they have, because we have players listed as available for transfer and there must be a difference.

I think they are still at the club and under contract, and unless another club comes in for them, they'll remain at Notts. The problem is, players like Rawlinson and Stone may have to take a pay cut to find another club, which they may not be willing to do.

Billy Sharp has signed for Doncaster Rovers.

He might be 38, but I'm sure he still knows where the net is.

There are things that I still know where they are but can't manage any more to get there.
