Macca's well on his way to becoming a club legend. If he sticks around for 2-3 more years and continues his goalscoring form, he'll be among out top scorers of all time.

I may be wrong here, but the announcement said club captain? I'm sure Notts have always had a Club Captain and a Team (onfield) Captain?

Hope I'm making it up totally and Macca is captain end of. I think most would agree KC didn't give captains performances on a regular basis.

If announcement is for Macca as captain...happy days. As has been said, only goes to add value and another way of keeping him at the club for a bit longer.

Just seen an announcement from Kyle Cameron congratulating Macca and he’s “handing over the baton” so all is good with the world!

    From Article:
Langstaff has worn the armband on several previous occasions but knows, now the job is his full-time, that many extra responsibilities are coming his way.

Also SM thanked KC for his role last 3 years so seems He isn't on field captain.

If it's not clear to anyone else on this thread, Matty Palmer has also been appointed as vice-captain.

I believe KC is being allowed to talk to other clubs
Good luck to the lad. I suspect he'll go to the NL where he will hopefully play every week
That's unlikely to happen here next season if things go to plan

Gateshead might be a good fit. Or York.

If he stays at Notts, he still has a role to play. Just not such a central one.

He was never a central defender, it was us that put him in that role. When he played at Torquay he played he played either left wing or left back

For what it's worth, the roles should be the other way round

Probably also an indicator that last season’s defence is going to be totally dismantled and none of those players will be starting next season if the club has its way.

Macari maybe an exception but he wasn’t exactly a regular starter.
