4 points above the relegation zone now! A couple more defeats and I can see Hourihane being shown the door! I desperately want him to turn it around but the way it's going i personally can't see him doing it.
This tippy tappy rubbish at the back is killing us, you could hear the fans frustration at the end, in the last couple of minutes of injury time we had the ball 2 or 3 times, JUST LUMP IT INTO THE AREA! Anything could happen, but NO let's pass it around at the back!! You could see the ref waiting for the last play to end, but even he thought sod it, if they are gonna do that I'll blow the whistle!

It's classic style over substance Shad and it's inviting criticism of Hourihane and it's going to get difficult to defend .

My major concern is that Hourihane as a young HC and finding his feet hasn't actually got any ideas of his own , he's simply rehashing the game at PL level with this nonsense at the back and I noticed this afternoon he had Bland moving in to midfield from his right back role and this inverted full back nonsense , perfectly fine if you are Pep with the players he has at his disposal but not so good if you have a young kid trying to find his way at league one level .

What goes on in the PL is irrelevant at this level and when you haven't a pot to pyss in it's imperative you play to the strengths you do possess and work from there , something Val did in the covid season .

Don't get me wrong Hourihane needs time to develop but he's got to help himself too and today I came away thinking that there are things he needs to move away from and sharpish too .

What we are Perky is a heavyweight boxer with huge punching power that can knock out any boxer on the planet , problem is we've got a glass chin and when we get hit ourselves we hit the canvas .

If teams let us play like Luton did we will probably destroy everybody in the league given the talent we have going forward but that's not how it works , opposition teams know if they stick in games and put pressure on us we will crumble which is exactly what happened today .

Too many players aren't made of the right stuff similar to those embarrassing us out in Australia at the moment , great players when they are smashing bowlers all over the park but not so good when they have to dig in and show resilience .

Totally agree with that animal, Conor is walking a fine line ATM, playing a young lad learning his trade as an inverted R/B is not on, why did he not play Watson there and put Bland in Midfield?
Yoganathan should be nowhere near this team, watch his last few games, he doesn?t know what he?s doing, players he?s marking just waltz by and he?s trotting off in the opposite direction! There was a Mansfield break away today and rather than go to the runner he ran away to cover a different player!
Shepherd is really starting to show he?s not good enough at this level, soft in the tackle 90% of the time, but he gets dragged out of position constantly!
Connell captain my ar5e! His head drops as soon as we concede, he was atrocious again 2nd half, but he blames everyone else all the time, we got a free kick 2nd half and the players were signaling to him and he?s saying NO?.points somewhere else, then sticks in a kick that was laughable!
If we lose the next 2 games the fans are gonna turn properly on Hourihane, it?s starting now! We will get nothing against Lincoln because Skubala knows how to upset us and get into our players, but lose to Vale who are bottom of the league and they will sack him, I?m sure of it.

I agree with everything you have said but what worries me is if this happens then once again the blame gets deflected from where the root problem festers, we pay out more brass on a rince and repeat sack and replace model, money what needs to be invested in the team, this model has been in operation since these clowns took the reigns and we are going down a gradual slope and we all know that does note bode to ending well.

I tried yesterday to go down to Oakwell with an open mindset , it's well over 12 months since my last visit and the last thing I actually wanted to do was to justify why my interest has diminished and totally slag the club off from top to bottom , I was hoping to be rejuvenated and a light come back on because I'm often at a loss as to why someone such as myself who followed us everywhere for decades could feel like they do today .

I've always thought that it was more the case the club left me rather than the other way round but that's just a symptom of football today because of the way football is now and the club have become a casualty in all of this , the club isn't the club it once was and that's nothing to do with success or failure on the pitch it just simply doesn't feel like the club it once was but then neither does the game today .

It didn't happen overnight either it took several years before one day I realised that there wasn't anything left that I could identify with anymore , the last championship season was the final straw when everything came to a head , totally out of our depth on the field and Conway running things and I use that term loosely ultimately killed off what enthusiasm I had .

It went even further when some of our fans on other platforms mounted a campaign against Luke Goddard who wanted to start a fans protest group against Conway and was vilified for it , it turns out he was right all along about Conway and if the truth be known we've never really recovered from his skullduggery but certain fans preferred to round on one of our own at the time and it's something I've found hard to forgive about a section of our fanbase .

My experience yesterday was one of sheer disbelief , I understand since Neerav took over he's put in 20 million pounds to keep the club going and yet you'd be hard pressed to see where a single pound coin had been spent , it's ridiculous but as I've stated that's simply a symptom of the game today but none the less all it does is underlines why I feel like I do about the club and the game today itself.

Matt Ellis at Wakefield Trinity has this off season built a new club superstore and a clubhouse for the fans complete with match day bar meals , it wasn't even a new build , he's stripped an older building back to the bare bones and completely rejuvenated it , it's amazing and he's the thing , he's a businessman and his investment will make money whilst giving the fans top facilities and that's how it should be .

I see nothing at Oakwell that's getting invested in other than money disappearing down a black hole , never to be seen again whilst things deteriorate every season both on and off the field , it's utter madness .

Matt Ellis at Trinity ain't no sugar daddy , our ST'S aren't the cheapest in Super League but he's got it right because we are seeing top quality players joining the club and the match day experience is phenomenal , you are getting it back and you don't mind spending on drinks , food and merchandise because Matt is doing his bit too .

That creates a connection with the fans , we are all in this together .

It doesn't feel like that at Oakwell but it's possible if the club had a plan and connected ownership with fans , maybe they just don't get it .

Feel really sorry for you animal but to be fair you could read comments on lots of other fans forums and see the same comments. Even here at Bolton not everyone is happy with the football being played. After a promising start under Schumacher we also seem to have dropped back into the sideways and backwards rubbish that did for Evatt. What is it with these young managers that they seem to have to try to imitate PL systems with 3rd division players? You watch the EFL highlights and the number of goals conceded by teams fannying about at the back instead of when in danger just putting it in Row Z is incredible yet it continues. Get the ball forward quickly and into the opponents half is obviously too difficult for them. Chopping and changing the team every game, disrupting the flow by making five unnecessary substitutions to keep -layers happy, all illustrations of the “modern” game. It’s the same everywhere at the moment animal and sadly isn’t going to change any time soon so we just have to like it or lump it.
