The OP asked for reasons why Ardley should stay. I haven't seen any apart from the usual "we have to give him longer". Yesterday was only one game, but it was a typical Ardley game. Dover were in the same state we were in when we lost at Eastleigh last opening day and should have been there for the taking. I doubted Ardley had the ability to win, but I didn't think even he would manage to come home with nothing. The general concencus on here is that we have excellent owners and a very good squad for this level. The management is clearly the problem. I have wanted Ardley gone since the final whistle blew at Swindon, and my opinion has never wavered. I am one of those who think our owners are excellent, but sticking with Ardley for so long could be their first big mistake.

I think we may have seen the last of Ardley as Notts manager.

Did you see the way he waved as he went down the tunnel yesterday?

An Ardley In? Thread is essence identical to the two Ardley Out threads. Same debate, same arguments.

10 games, then review. Only 10 that's not asking for much.

The whole relegation season was a mistake, a series of mistake after mistake after mistake including appointing Ardley.

I think 10 games is reasonable to judge whether he’s going in the right direction to take us up - which has got to be the only priority this season (and Ardley himself had admitted we have to be in the title race).

Three of our next four games are at home, plus Sutton away. Anything less than 10 points from those four games isn’t promotion form (given that we’re playing Alty, Barnet and Maidenhead at home). And I’d expect us to be on around 20 points after 10 games., which I’m guessing would put us in the top seven.

The other important thing, of course, is how we’re performing. I think we’re currently missing a decent striker and aggressive, pacy midfielder if we’re serious about promotion, and may need to bring a few loanees before things start improving.

If we can get 20 points after the first 10 games i would be very pleased , we might finally decide Ardley might do it this time, more likely is we will be nearer 12 points
Thing that annoys me most, Ardley does just enough to survive, he wins a few matches, and we will all start to believe, until he pulls the rug from under our feet agian, w....r

I feel he should have went following relegation. I assume if he has any sense he will be asking to get a striker in this week. If the Danes don't back him it will indicate that his days are numbered.

We had a striker who could score for fun, but (1) He was more often on the bench, and when he did start he was usually the first one to be taken off, even if he had scored. (2) He was offered peanuts to stay, and quite rightly told them to stuff it..

Something went off betwixt Ardley and Dennis, perhaps similar to the troubles with Aborah and Fullarton?

Why do you keep banging on about 10 games?! He's had 80. He's useless Laddo and deep down even you know it.

Lado would give him a 1000 games to prove Ardley is the man, in the end he will have to admit it that he is useless
