Let's look at some of the facts. I'm only playing devils advocate here but hear me out.
So 5 have left and wages wise would it be fair to say it's around 20k on wages saved so far? Could be more, I may be being generous to the club.
Now from the supposed 20k, let's just put 5k to one side, Ill come back to this.
So Evans has 15k a week to bring in only 3 players, that's a lot of wages to play with. Stewart will probably hoping Evans doesn't want to use it all. Again, I'm only guessing he's saved 20k on wages.
Anyway back to the 5k put to one side, what am I going to do with this? It's to be used to wrap up Hugill's contract. Again it's an assumption he's on 10k a week and I don't think I'll be far off that sum. Now it's down to the COO/Stewart/Scott and Karen to work something out with Hugill so as he can find a new club who will take him on where, he retains is supposed 10k a week status, as his new club can have his services for 5k a week and RUFC will make his wage up with the other 5k.
It's all if's and buts and figures apart, this could all work out where our biggest wage earner is finally offloaded and the club save approx 260,000 a year on his wages.
Does this all sound too plausible? Just some thoughts of my own playing with fictitious figures as I don't know the real ones but, all told, it could work out and hopefully new players who better the team are brought in.
