Regrettably I?m still on target to get a clean sweep - what an embarrassment. I?ve learned to temper my anger by not listening to any player or coach interviews but it?s small comfort

And England should take a lesson in resilience from The West Indies, what a rearguard action that was

As the commentators said in the current set up we only do bazzball, we can't be arsed with grit and determination. Unfortunately the Aussie show it in abundance which is not fair play, I mean it's tantamount to cheating, they should copy us and throw their wicket away! Jolly hockey sticks and all that!
    Are Cook and Strauss available?

Ironically this morning Stokes and Jacks did dig in and restrain themselves. Outcome a 7th wicket stand of almost 100.watch and learn top order, especially Harold Brook whoseems hell bent on slogging his way to 25

We could look at most of the 'batters' and they don't have 'getting your head down' in their locker! Is it taught nowadays one wonders?? Keep sending length balls to Pope outside the off peg and a mistimed drive later and oh dear I'm out!
Back home on our pitches and with our weather it provides much better conditions for 'English' type bowlers thus giving the bazball approach some back up. Even a mere 300 got at 8 an over can be competitive, a bit of cloud cover, the ball swinging and a moderate 20 degrees F and the seamers have a glint in their eye! It don't work like that down under!
Having said all that for whatever reason we lack quality willow players, there's little depth so even moderate batters make the test side. Bazball hides the fact that most are simply not up to test standard.
Consequently we get stuffed in Aussie land.

It’s alright though, mac. We’ll win the two Test series against NZ and Pakistan next summer, be top of Division 2 of Test playing countries and everyone will be happy.
