Better start than expected but we will know how good we when we have played all teams at least once, some tough games to come starting on Saturday.

Not a single Notts fan wants us to fail.

This board would be a boring place if we all agreed and everything was perfect.

The defence is the only area we have not improved from last season, and despite the “it’s the way we play” comments, some of the defending has been very poor indeed (forest green)

Having ball players in the side and playing the way we do does not take away the basics of defending, like not falling over embarrassingly to try and get a free kick, or blocking crosses or players being closed down on the edge of the area.

Fact is, the defence needs improving. Anyone who knows anything about football can see that, surely? LW certainly can (TAR for Nemane for example), and he clearly is trying to do something about it

We should always be wanting to improve. In 2009 we had a team which was defensively poor, but saved by attacking intent, when promoted it was found out in the opening game. Sound familiar?

I think most people agree, it’s pretty obvious……but they won the league last year so shouldn’t be criticised 😂🤦*♂️

    I would say this^^^

But I would also say we are doing far better than I expected us to do in all respects. As long as we don't trouble the dreaded "R" positions, we can assess, see what we need and build again for the following season. Let's be grateful for what has been achieved but let's not be too timid to improve.

Of course we can and need to improve defensively that should be obvious to most. Just look at the number of goals conceded. If us fans know that I'm pretty sure the coaches do too.

At the same time all teams in the league need to improve aspects of their game, be it attack, midfield, defence or certain specific aspects of play like the dreaded defending set pieces. Some clubs obviously need to improve more than one, and PDQ.

To me it's all relative as we are doing far better than I expected. Plus the league table says we are doing most things more than good enough.

TSANHO, constructive criticism is fine, it just seems like some folk enjoy criticising, which just seems wrong, when you are supposedly a supporter.

We are doing well , some of the away defeats like sutton and colchester give cause for concern, but lets just enjoy where we are at the moment, barring some disaster relegation is not an issue this year, and with the set up we have, we should get stronger and stronger as time goes on, because we have a solid vision and plan for the future
Some fans on either end are a bit annoying, for me its the supporters saying this is the best Notts team ever, the best manager ever bla bla, all absolute nonense the current team are not even close to being the best notts team ever, nor is LW close to being the best manager ever , but i can understand the optimism now that we are heading back up the league instead of down
