Strange thing is that we have picked up more points in the last 7 matches and scored more goals than Leeds.

We can't compete with the ultra defensive Sean Dyche though because, in four PL matches he has picked up more points than both the above teams and scored 8 goals in those 4 matches as opposed to Leeds 7 in 7 and our 9 in 7. I wonder which of these three teams will have the best chance of reamining in the PL?
I should have mentioned the Champions as well. Last 7 matches they have won 1 and lost 6 and scored just 7 goals whilst conceding 1 fewer than us. It's a funny old game.

And Kompany beat Champions League Champions PSG in their own backyard and are running away with the Bundesliga. Funny old game is football.

We have to stick with Parker fornow, as this squad isn't good enough for the Premier league and to good for the championship.

Burnley create the least chances and loose possession, more than anyother side in the Premier league, and it certainly showed on Saturday were we gifted a poor Chelsea 3 pts

How does Scott Parker inject some "va-va vroom" into our forward play? Suggestions include playing a pure 4-4-2 with Foster and Broja playing up top together and Flemming playing as a number 10.

Florentino defensive midfielder, Walker, Tuanzebe, Esteve and Hartman back four.

Cullen and Ugochukwu in midfield and like Rocky Mills used to shout, “attack, attack, attack!”

Wingless wonders with the full backs providing the crosses. It worked wonders for Alf Ramsey.

    Dubravka
    Walker Tuanzebe Esteve Hartman
    Florentino
    Loum Ugochukwu Hannibal foster
    Flemming

Subs to change a likely defeat at 1 down
    Marcus and Tresor

Yes Cullen gone completely for me, same as Brownhill, Championships level

He wasted so much ball Saturday Dave - played a lot of blind passes around corners that were picked off and lost possession a few times centrally as well.

However I think the internationals did him and his legs weren’t all there if I’m honest as usually he’s not dynamic but reliable.

I have said a few times though we are blessed with three similar footballers with the exception that Cullen doesn’t have the physicality really - creativity is what we need really

I think as we are we don’t have an identity weee neither up and at em strong physical or direct

What I do know is we are laboured in our approach and far too slow in transition for the level of football we are playing - sad but true.

Army yes, your last statement far too slow is correct, speed up required, and positivity raining down, have a right flecking go or let’s not even bother.
I am tired of this once again sadly.

True Army.On Saturday the odd time we tried to break we were so slow our attacker slowed down and turned round because there was no support. At this level you see it so often how teams get punished on the break-us included. You just dont see those type of counter attacks from us except against Wolves if I remember correctly.

We do have forward thinking players who, at the moment, barely get on the pitch.

Hannibal should be one of the first names on the sheet. He covers every blade of grass, has some pace and goes at the opposition.

Although Foster is not scoring enough, he works his socks off, if nothing else, pulling people out of position to, hopefully, create a bit of space.

He is small, but then so was Da Silva. Marcus Edward’s is a positive player who can create.

I really don’t see Fleming as a No 10. He tries in his current role and works hard, but he needs the guile to find the spaces that Foster creates with his runs.

Sadly Anthony is anonymous now. He lacks pace and his first instinct is to stop and look backwards. That creates nothing at PL level. JBL - I really can’t understand why we brought him back. No disrespect, but he was not PL quality first time around.

In my not so humble opinion, Parker needs to look at two elements - pace and attacking mentality. That is especially the case at Turf Moor where the team needs to enthuse the crowd who will support 100% and give the team the mythical 12th man. It also has a place away from home.

Statistically most teams will lose away from home. So give it a go. Attack. Why not?

Thing is gents Fleming isn’t that type of forward for a start - hence why I said try him and foster as at least Lyle will make runs and try and stretch defences which would help the team and also Fleming instead of trying to win headers against two big centre backs and quick full backs.

The man with the bit of magic to unlock people is Hannibal and he can’t get of the bench - discipline aside he’s the best chance we have at this moment in time of winning games - if Parker can’t - won’t see that we’re doomed before we start I’m afraid.

Unless someone else can see a different plan of attack that is - it’s a tough call for Parker as I think as Dave says it would be Cullen who missed out - but he’s captain so it won’t happen and we’re back to as BT rightly names this a definition of insanity - the same thing over and over again.
