That'll wind the SSB'S up no end.

I think top 6 is gone, but......

Next week a home win v Killie and an away defeat for Falkirk at Tynecastle might just make them a bit nervous as they see the gap narrow a bit.
One of our games in hand is a Tuesday night home fixture v the Sheep.

Top 6 is gone. Was probably gone after the defeats to the Funsters and Hibs. We have 8 games to the split and I reckon to have a serious chance we have to win 6 of them. Given we have only won 6 in 25 to date it’s hard to imagine this happening. Frustrating because we’re where we are purely due to self inflicted wounds. We’ve played some decent stuff at times this season, better than last in many ways, but we have sacrificed far, far, far too many points through our own deficiencies, not by anything particularly special by the opposition. It’s no exaggeration to say we could and should be about 12-14 pts better off currently but the fact is we’re not. Best we can hope for this season now is top of the bottom 6 I’m afraid.

I agree with the posts above - top 6 probably too much of a stretch for us now. However, now that we are sitting 7th, I would like to see us hold on to that until the end of the season. That would keep us out of any playoff nonsense.

We should still aim for higher as you never know but yes ultimately make sure we are top of the bottom half at worst is a good target, it's always important to try and finish above both versions of the fun (original and northern) where possible

James is right, we should have already 10 more points, probably more

A real shot in the arm before we take them on again in the Cup.😀
