As for, '' I don't think we lacked fight or anything like that tonight''....we were bloody awful. Don't paper over the cracks pal it was s.hite.
We were poor I agree but at least a big part of that, after a decent start from us, was that Preston got a grip on us and showed that they have considerably better players who clicked and outplayed us on the night. And I hear you, but still feel that in our race to be 4th from bottom, we will continue to have days when better quality teams have days when they play well and in the vast majority of those games we will lose, however well we set out to play. We were made to look poor although Fosu managed that quite well himself!

Do you really think if we play like we have in the last two games we will finish above 3 teams? If so why? What will make us better than them? We know we have suffered from injuries and yes of course that hurts, but other teams have injuries too. Also we do not know what could be happening at the club that could be influencing the players in terms of injury, training, fitness, nutrition, sports science or even the psychology of the players. The point is the outcome of whatever the management team are doing hasn't been good in the last two performances, and complacency seems more likely at the club than the fans, when MT says "when was the last time Rotherham had 40 points with 11 games to go" that shows arrogance, he needs to remember that 14 points came in 9 (1.5 points a game) games under the previous manager, 1 game was under Wood/peltier the other 27 he has had getting 26 points (0.96 a game), so we are worse under MT than PW and he has had full backing from the board in January. Also remember we might criticise because we feel let down, we feel disappointment and we might care just a little too much, we might also be right
Refer to answer to Brin above. Not a problem with criticism of our performances, but feel surprised when people feel dismayed when we happen to be outplayed be teams with clearly better players. That's all

Correct pup, we were beaten on the day by a better team it's easy to just say we were poor but, IMO, we were poor because Preston made us look poor and played really well, hence their league position.
We now have a massive game on saturday to focus on, so let's not dwell too much on this and move on to saturday. UTM

A disappointing performance but Preston are very good championship side. That was their ninth win away from home ,nobody has won more than them on their travels and they are a team that has been built up over a number of years. On the other hand with a change of management half way through the season it was never going to be straightforward for us.We are still five points clear and a match on Saturday that should be less difficult. There should be news on points deductions very soon and more than one club could well be penalised assuming the EFL get their act together.

Thing is Bill I dont want us to stay up courtesy of a team or teams having points deducted, I want to be able to say "We'd have stayed up anyway, even if they hadn't had points deducted" and from this position we are in now, we should be able to see that through. UTM

I agree about Preston being a good championship club, maybe they’ll win an award for the time wasting, they must be a contender for record holder.

Yes I know we and others do it but they held a tea party from KO and only 3 minutes added on in 1st half was just laughable but no surprise with a clown in middle of pitch

We should be trying to emulate PNE.
Their home crowds aren't that much bigger than ours and have similar away followings.
We can do the same starting by retaining our cship status this season and improving the quality of our squad incrementally over the next few seasons

Luton and Millwall are the same. Both in playoffs.
MT has said that's what he wants and that's his long term plan

Yes they were the better side but that doesn’t excuse the poor defending, passing, crossing. We can’t even take a decent throw in.If we stay up & I think we will just, we have got to spend a hell of a lot of money for next season.
