A bit surprised to see Bedeau on the bench, otherwise about as good as we've got.
And who was criticizing me for saying we were threadbare when we started the season? Can't understand why we have not recalled chicksen or morias
Can’t see the point of recalling them 2, enough cover at the back and Martin will come on at WB and Brown will be ahead of Morias. I don’t know if he’s even got a call back option, also not sure how it works with only being able to register 22 outfield players till the next window.
Pretty sure before Chicks went we were up to the max 22 players, it’s not so much about depth it’s about the amount of injuries we have.
I was also shot down in flames when I gave my opinion before the transfer window closed that we were very weak in depth up front, I said then that McGoldrick would play 1 in 2 or even 3 games, to be effective, Scott looked lost ( we now know why), Jatta is inconsistent, So I said we needed a decent forward at least. This was before we bought Brown in who looks to be poor.
With the long term injuries to JJ and Edwards, together with what is becoming a continued run of injuries to players 3 more missing yesterday, we are looking very very threadbare and it is now begging to show!! I cant see us being above 10th come mid December.
I do think that a striker is probably on the list of priorities certainly whether that be in January or next summer. Jatta's record at this level is good but he can't be expected to do it on his own. Didzy is much valued and loved and is key, but we almost need a successor who by the time Didzy calls time whenever that maybe they are ready to make the step up. Obviously the situation with Scott compounds the striker situation more.
Having said that it shouldn't just be strikers scoring goals. Midfielders ideally need to be scoring, and a handful of goals a season from defenders.
