Sadly Yak a similar story to those we see way too often where adults have 'power' over children, not just men, not just the church, and not just England.

Documentary on tonight channel 4 called see no evil.
Just watched interview with victim of abuse within the church.
Shocking cover up which I feel will go all the way to the top.
Incredible strength demonstrated from the victims this morning.
My friends have spoken about being affected by this in the past. Let down by the ones who were supposed to protect them.
Another national cover up about to be revealed?

Church men at the top, covered for their own brethren.
Most Priests Cardinals, have something lurking in their chequered past, & even things still happening.
When a child complained of s*xual ab*se from the clergy, they were accused of making stories up, & in some cases put away.
Look at the Magellen cover up in Ireland.
Will give it a watch. Im preparing myself for witnessing victims being let down by the system again.
Strike me down with a feather.

Seems posters who regularly complain that it's only threads about Pakistani grooming gangs, illegal immigrants and generally people of colour that get replies, can't be ar$ed to contribute to this one.
Whoever is preying on children need stringing up.
We hear it again and again 'cover up by the system'. Sickening.
Maybe it is more about judgement rather than can?t be ar$sed Howdy?
I looked at the thread last night and thought about pointing out how little interest there is when the offenders are white and Christian, but then thought better of using a serious thread in that fashion. It seems that didn't matter to you or your blinkers stopped you seeing that point.
Where is your condemnation for the absence of the posters who will put up endless posts if an offender is brown and/or an asylum seeker?
We are in agreement, however. I am not a big fan of stringing people up, but I agree that offenders should be treated equally, irrespective of their colour, notional religion or immigration status. That is kind of the point that I have been making and which you alluded to.
P.s. I havn't watched the programme and may comment further if I do, but I agree with the point that Cam made (and which I have made time and time again) that the abuse of children occurs wherever adults have access to them.
My blinkers aren't as large as you think. I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment. Why should I call out the absence of posters who put up endless posts if an offender is brown? They're highlighting scumbags who need dealing with. If you and others are as passionate about abuse in the church, the scouts or anything else that exposes abuse and it happens to be white people, feel free to do the same.
I can't speak for people if they don't wish to reply and keep the subject relevant.
I'm concerned about net immigration. There are are people from a number of countries who are entering illegally or legally for that matter that are a concern and more likely to commit serious crime. That's my opinion. They're not all brown either. I don't think we know enough about them and believe it will come to a head. Like Brexit, the main parties will fail to deal with it and what happens then? More extremism from the left and Right. Not going to end well.
Not going to argue about it.
I come from the school of, get your own house in order, before you do anything else. Maybe from the early 80's and the Thatcher years, we've failed to do it as a nation. Have a nice day.
Infuriating watch the documentary. Why does it always come down to leadership failing. They knew what was going on and did **** all.
Same with the cub scouts gymnastics etc.
My heart goes out to the victims. The COE. Should hang their heads in shame prosecutions should follow.
Ive watched it. It was a tough watch. It was apparent that senior people in the church knew this was happening. It seems that the law doesnt protect victims as even when it is discovered people who have clearly been complicit in the cover up are not in any way made to pay the consequences.
Are we a nation that protects abusers and victims are not protected at all?
The biggest cover ups happen in politics and governance. Too many sham inquiries.
What is Nick Brown ex Labour MP up to these days? Wonder why he's nowhere to be seen.
