Thomas Frank , 8 games without a win, and his team sliding towards the relegation zone gets the sack. Cardy- 16 games without a win( soon to be 17)in a relegation battle all season, and going down, yet his job is secure !!
Work that out. I?d love to see Frank at our club. Did great at Brentford, and would do the same with us, if he ever got the opportunity. Alan Pace, I?ve arranged for someone from the local mental hospital ,to have your head examined.
Could the clarets luck begin to change, I would love to see Spurs offer their managers job to Scott Parker, while Frank makes the change to ourselves.
Sorry I have just woken up and the above was my dream.
It's all about money, guys. We can't afford to sack our manager unless we go deeper into debt.
His contract runs for another season after this and any replacement would want paying at least the same as our current manager is getting.
But why do clubs sign managers for more than one season? Parker says he would be the first one to say goodbye if he thought it was the right thing to do.
Would you sign a contract for one season when you are probably going into the job on the back of failure as Scott was after relegation?
You are inheriting players from the previous manager and, in Scott's case, many wanted away and the club needed to sell to maintain financial needs, in spite of getting a pay-off from VK's departure.
Any manager would not sign a one year contract because of the above reasons because he would want to build a team to try to get success. Promotion to the PL in the circumstances last season was a good achievement, however, without spending a lot of money, we were always destined to struggle this season.
Spurs and Forest have had several managers in the past few seasons and sacked them with contractual pay-offs, however, they are both not happy, in spite of their managers having given them European football. As ballcock says, no PL manager resigns, they wait for the push and we can't afford to push.
I read this morning Dyche is in line for another FOUR million ?????s pay out and then there is Woany too!![]()
I just know I wouldn?t have given SP more than a one year contract. He had something to prove. We gave the chance to do that.
