    Aaron Ramsdale

Sign permanent or send back to Southampton? For me - sign and get rid of Pope. Probably better goalkeepers out there and the recruitment team may have already unearthed a gem, but with my limited knowledge of availability and where we are as a club, I?d have him here for the next couple of seasons or so until we kick on again.

Pope's contract was extended until '27. Rambo's permanent signature is an additional 21m quid.

Despite the recent good form he's not the man to be the No.1 going forward.

    Robin Risser

Is a rising star on the continent and would cost in the 10-15m quid region.

Going the 'ready made elite level Keeper'

    Gregor Kobel

Would cost a pretty penny but all top clubs need elite keepers to win things.

Rambo as good as he's been in recent matches isn't going to become that top tier keeper needed.

Bart Verbruggen is another option the club have looked at.

I'm in two minds about this geezer. Only 24 to a lot of growth potential and decent all round modern GK. Again won't be cheap but has far greater potential than Rambo. Prem proven, don't make mistakes.

Rambo's weakness is commanding the area and claiming crosses, everything, shot stopping and distribution especially are his strong points.

Options. Sign the young option in Risser and keep Pope as No.2 or go the Elite route which would probably see Pope leave and extend Rambo's loan for a 2nd season IF Southampton fail to get promoted.

Yes. If Pope is signed up till 2027 then I?d keep both of them and sign a younger one with strong potential. We need 3 keepers who are good enough to play first team.

I'd take Rambo on a 2nd year loan for sure. We do also need a proper long term solution to the GK situation.

Pope has been a wonderful servant and done us proud. Since the shoulder injury he's just not been the same.

Rambo has improved recently at a time the team has needed consistency in net. However, he has shown us how a ball playing technical Goal Keeper improves the teams ability to play out from the back as well as provide multiple different dimensions to the attacking distribution across the pitch, short, medium and long range threats.

The general consensus across this group and the wider fan base is that ideal situation would be to combine prime Pope's command of the box, claiming crosses and general presence as a big unit with the ball playing distribution of Rambo.

From what I've seen so far there is a few options as mentioned in my previous post.

If Pope is contract is till 27, doesn't mean we can't put feelers out if clubs want him - obviously screws us if he finds out and goes into a funk.

I'd def take Rambo back on loan, however, I suspect this is already a done deal and we'll sign him.

We def need a young, up and coming elite keeper though.
