    Vlad our Greek

Vlad has massively kicked off at the club saying he was lied to and mistreated by the club on arrival from Forrest.

He says he was promised one thing on arrival and this changed a week before the season started.

Now, he was obviously not wanted by the club and we were rolled into the deal by Forrest to help them with PSR the same way we needed help.

So, to a degree he must have surely expected some push back, equally again, it's not his fault.

We are also only getting his side of the story, so he may be getting it out there early to push the club to allow him a cheaper move to Seville to kill this story before it potentially takes hold.

However, this is the 2nd story of a broken promise (alongside Isak) that has come out of the club in last couple of seasons - which is potentially not a good look for any potential signings.

I know there is context and that it was all the old leadership but still not a brilliant look.

He has been treated disgracefully not a single first team appearance apart from 45 minutes in the cup and that was only due to Dubravka getting injured and even dumped behind Ruddy for the bench at times last season. He is the best keeper we have on our books but Howe has totally ignored him.

Well when he joined, I wouldn't say he was the best keeper - Pope was better than him at that point in my opinion.

This season . . . you def have a point.

But at the same time, what attitude has he come in with, knowing that he was not really wanted and it was all part of a PSR transaction.

Players need to get out of this

I have been made promises rubbish

Put it in the contract before you sign

Otherwise, it is just a passing comment

The club broke promises made to me.

This is the new way for players saying they want a move by suggesting there is no trust with the club. Judas did it and now Greek fella.

I agree with Guybrush - get it in your contract or stop the bleating.

Whilst the lad probably has a point, I agree-get something in writing.

Worth noting, too, that Dubravka was made personal promises by Eddie hmself which were then broken-it's why he left on loan.

Was it the summer when we had ‘what his name’ (tbh he was the one who actually did his job) on gardening leave, Amanda and Mehrdad out and there seemed to be no one on the transfers?
I guess whoever did the talk just promised whatever the Vlad wanted to close the deal by deadline. May be Eddie even had no idea he supposed to play him.

But, giving it another thought, there might be the issue with promises. As Im sure Dubz being dropped to the bench just days after signing extension is no coincidence. Its just Martin isnt the person to kick up the fuss about it
