    Now Preston

With Portsmouth and Oxford getting fantastic wins yesterday whilst we can only manage draws due to no quality in the final third - we are right back in it. Leicester looked doomed and most likely they will lose at Portsmouth next week who also have a midweek home game.

We need a win at Preston in my view and hopefully we will go for it as opposed to the garbage seen at Blackburn with constant passing backwards and sideways.

Could be us or Oxford but lose at Preston and other results go against us - it won?t be good with three games left then one of which is Ipswich at home. If we need anything at Sheffield it will be their cup final to ensure they beat us!

A draw against Preston, win at home to Watford and a win at Sheffield Wednesday means Oxford have to win 3 of 4. They have Millwall, Derby and Wrexham to play.

I think Portsmouth’s home game midweek is against Ipswich Town and I cannot see Ipswich losing that. I watched the Norwich v Ipswich game yesterday and the Tractor Boys had a determination about them, despite having a truly dreadful referee ‘on their side’; they have the mentality, I believe, to secure automatic promotion. That referee was awful, awarded Ipswich a penalty that wasn’t, denied Norwich a penalty that was and somehow allowed the thug Nunez to remain on the pitch after a series of fouls, the last of which, probably deserved a straight red, let alone a second yellow. Quite shocking.

Many would say Middlesbrough away is tougher to get 3 points than a home game against Ipswich.

One win and two losses is just the same to draw three matches. Draws are no good so we need goals! If we need anything at Sheffield it will be like a cup final and fun for them to see us relegated and we would be the same!

Boro are bottle jobs and losing points to lower sides in the league frequently recently. Ipswich are different gravy.

Yes but it?s still a home match! Boro are still top six for a reason and we are bottom six for a reason. The table does not lie. If Portsmouth can?t get anything from Ipswich it?s very unlikely we will when we have three misfiring strikers who are slower than a Chelsea pensioner!
