    Voting today?

Might have to put my tin hat on again for posting about politics 😁 but if you've a local election today in your area, I wondered how many will vote?

Just cast mine where I've voted for the candidate I think will best serve our constituency even if I might not vote for the political party they have attached themselves too. Tbh, this was a much easier choice for me than trying to chose who to vote for had it been a GE!

I'm sure, however, that many who vote across the country today will use it to express either their displeasure at Starmer & Co or else to signal their support for a particular political party rather than use it as a purely local decision. In any event, the results will make interesting reading when they come through!

I will be voting later today Omeg. Always do. Locals, generals and even used to vote in the much maligned European elections too. I don't talk or post about politics much but regardless of the outcome I have my opinions and I do like to express them at the ballot box.

    Fair play 68.

I certainly understand, particularly with the poor political options we have available to us at that moment, that when asked to vote at a GE, it can be really difficult to choose a party that people might either feel sufficiently represents their own views or that they can say they agree with the vast majority of their policies. I'd still encourage everyone to vote though and even a tactical vote to try and keep a party you really dislike out of power is better than not voting at all. No point moaning too much about stuff if you don't do what you can about it, even if individually we have next to no influence on things.

Greens will attract a lot of Starmers friends and deluded nutters. Some are running scared now with the Reform pledge that Greens welcome refugees then it?s only right they are in Green constituencies. Surely they would welcome this love in.

Those that say they don?t have a problem with illegal immigrants - I would say It?s called suicidal empathy.

I pose the question to anyone including that idiot Gary Neville living in a leafy street - would they be happy living next to a migrant hotel or a HMO full of illegals and would their wives and daughters be happy?

If any person says yes then they are fkin liars! So welcome them then get them!
