  • Latest P&J article on ex Dons,is Jeffrey Monakana.

Played on loan for half a season back in 2014, before heading back to Brighton.

Finished playing, through injury, at 28 and had a sort of nomadic career. Finished up playing in the Icelandic third division.

Like most of the others featured in these articles, Aberdeen was the best club he was at and should never have left.

Apparently we wanted him on a three year deal, but he was frustrated with lack of game time, despite promises from DM that he would get a start, so chose to go back to Brighton at the end of his initial loan.

    Now a scout for QPR.

    • Ex-Dons chairman variant…

Stewart Milne was at Keith v Wick Academy (an unlucky 0-1 defeat) with the goal coming from a dreadful error by ‘keeper Rodrigo Vitols (on loan from Pittodrie), and at the following fixture v Nairn where it ended 3-2 for the Maroons with Dons loanee Cammy Wilson scoring a hat trick.

Milne asked to look at my team sheet at the Wick game, and we had a short discussion about Mitov whose injury scan result hadn’t been given to the Dons by that stage. Quite affable really, and kudos for standing among the hoi-polloi rather than sitting in the stand.

His reason for being there is that his loon James, is a Keith player and was on the bench for both games. I didn’t see Milne there tonight v Rothes (a fuquing awful game which finished 1-0 to the Maroons), but his loon (six foot plus);came on in the second half, playing in midfield and did OK.

Now back to Andrea in the studio.

      • Maligned-by-idiots former Dons defender Andy Considine (imagine if Goodwin had played him rather than Anthony Stewart) was filmed picketing an ?Aberdeenshire? nursery yesterday along with other parents quite correctly raging about the closure of educational nurseries in pretendy ?Aberdeenshire?.

        • If he is there defending a nursery they are in real trouble

Re Monakana - another whose name I know but cannot picture in the shirt or on the pitch.
I’ll no doubt have seen him in the flesh but he has left zero impression on me.

I hope that says more about his performances rather than my memory

              • Monakana only played ten games for us.

I was in the same boat as you. I could recall the name, but could remember him at all and which manager he played under. I must have seen him play though.

I think we are just good at suppressing all the shyte that has played for us over the years.

Let me know if he saves the nursery. Good luck to them?they will need it now.

Walked in under 3 months, I’d say that counts as miserable failure.

I read they had been relegated, but hadn't realised he was manager.

                              Fair cheered me up.

I have previously been up against Charlie Mulgrew?s youth football team and unbeaten against him.
In fairness to him he was great with his kids team and very sporting.

I have never had the pleasure of facing Mark Kerr
