Before my time so just learning he also played in South Africa, Australia and New York.
Wow. Some going for an Aberdeen loon born in the 40s.
        What a life.

Before my time too, although I read a little bit about him in a recent Dons book, but can't remember which one.

Dundee was the club he made a name for himself. 106 goals in 138 games

He scored barrowloads in the Highland League for Huntly, but never quite made the step up. He did well for TMSTID and Arbroath.

I missed much of his short career as my weekends were spent labouring on building sites to fund a worrying LP records habit, but on the few occasions I did see him play, he was yet another target for the less than cerebral among our support.

The tributes being paid online by many of his playing contemporaries and social connections say that he was a very good striker and a great boy with whom to go for a pint.

Is there anyone interested in how much he weighed in 1974?

It might come up in a quiz.

Hell yeah! We're all on tenterhooks awaiting you to tell us.

I have a vague recollection it may be in the book I read recently that featured him.

The phrase ?on tenterhooks? was first coined by Tobias Smollet, the last person to come from the Renton who didn?t end up out his t!ts

Im quite handy in a pub quiz

Ex dons goalie David Lawrie, is now on the board in a non executive position.

Apparently he has been doing work with bringing players to Europe from Africa, but has now retired.

I can only assume this must be a new area that we are going to try and exploit for bringing players through.

Can't help but think we're a little late in the day for this.

Same club we signed him from.

Correct decision to move him on (aye its a loan, but he?ll nae be back).

Nothing against the lad & wish him well, but hes nowhere near being good enough, technically gifted enough, or quick enough to be a starter here.

He is 25 next month as well, so hes not the youngster folk keep touting him to be.

Best all round he moves on.

He posted a message on Instagram last week and someone was supposedly going to be losing teeth.

The club have moved him on very quickly.

Wish him all the best, but I don't think we will see him back.

Tickets are available for the Player of the Year event. To be held at the TECA centre on the first of May.

Some individual tickets are available to buy at 180+vat or a table of 10 for 1800+vat.

I'm assuming you get a sh*tload of loyalty points at that price.
