New Manager - Pace sucking out the soul of BFC

Big club like Liverpool sack manager and within a couple of days appointments a new manager. However little Burnley sack their manager x weeks ago and still have not found a new manager. What is this all about ?? Pace has no clue what he is doing and is sucking the soul out of our club had this been Bob Lord there would all sorts of demonstrations calling for him to resign.

Given that 4/5 are available, I?d see zero point in going for Barry-Murphy. Whether he might be a decent coach or not. Would make no sense paying the compo.

Still strong chance that Keane is off to Celtic. So that leaves 3.

I want Frank, but my honest feeling/prediction is that it?s going to be Ange.

There is cooper as well who I would t be against but in truth for stability and faith going forward the best man for the job is Thomas Frank - I have a feeling if he came and built something he?d stay a while.

He had a knack of finding non famous young players and moulding them into very capable premiership players

Outside the list you have I?d still take Corberan from Valencia or a complete unknown ( the manager at Southampton was a no name ) but his brand of football is very attractive - so another German maybe

Agreed to a point Lancaster as today we?ve released pre season fixtures so you would think the appointment would be coming very shortly

Pace does need to get this right though so I?d rather we sit a little and get the right man ( hopefully)

I?m told from within the club that Gerard has been 4 times to Gawthorpe so I?m thinking it could be him - I?d still like Frank as per my previous post.

Anyone in for the job will have done their research on our squad and will know that there will be a relegation clear out, and that they won't know their arse from there elbow until mid September time

It would be cheaper to pay another club compensation than bring in Gerrard, possibly the reason why they haven't. His wage demands will no doubt be on another level after spending 2 years in Saudi

There are now a few premiership positions available that may also influence potential candidates and us as prem football and money pays better I?d think.

I take your point Lancaster, it looks like Pace has no idea what he's doing and in many instances I'm sure he hasn't, but on this issue, appointing a new manager, he knows exactly what he's doing, he's saving money. I don't expect a new manager to be installed until the end of June, early July, when savings will have been maximised and the club can no longer properly function without someone in charge. Like two years ago when Parker was appointed, it'll be a last minute job.

As well as finding a new manager, ALK desperately need to revisit the recruitment set up. They have spent millions on so many duds in the last few years. I know that Parker?s tactics did not help but too many are not even Championship quality.

I saw Obafemi when he was at Swansea and I thought Kompany's pursuit of him was a good choice.

Turns out he can hardly kick a ball. We have just sold Dodgson for peanuts to Stockport County.

I completely agree Swiss.The clear out needs to start with the entire recruitment team and the set-piece coach.ALK dont just sign duds as players they also somehow manage to sign duds everywhere in the framework of the club.They are quite obviously incompetent.
