Forgive my ignorance but when my kids were playing F1 simulation games they just sat on a chair at the kitchen table! I guess the experience is enhanced in a specialist rig and as you say if hes got the dosh....
Im also just staggered at the concept of a pro gamer - a schoolfriend of my oldest decided to become a pro gamer at 14 and he has made a decent living out of it. It doesnt make sense to me to pay in order to eg watch e-football on TV (Ive seen it on Sky Sports) yet my sons tell me that countless people watch games on line (and pay) to see others playing games. I suppose you could argue that its no different to watching "real sport" - maybe Im just being grumpy old git.

Over the last several decades, Wigan have been my success story. The Rams and Derbyshire Cricket Club and the Toronto Blue Jays (who, BTW, do delightful foot long sausages, proper ones, not those awful frankfurter things) in the American rounders for men league have not given me a great deal to celebrate.
