At least Labour have a positive approach to improving both relations with the EU and improving trade links. I think the youth mobility scheme would be a very good start.

I agree.Originally posted by swaledale View PostAt least Labour have a positive approach to improving both relations with the EU and improving trade links. I think the youth mobility scheme would be a very good start.
Of course the right wing press will have you believe it's going to be open doors to the likes of Turkey and Albania when they join the EU.
A big part of the leave campaign was based on the imminent threat of Turkey joining yet nearly 10 years on it appears no closer to happening.

Or they’ll claim, ‘reimposing free movement by the back door’, which is how GB News have already described it, despite the majority of people apparently responding positively.Originally posted by SithHappens View PostI agree.

Surely that demonstrates a success of the Brexit vote, albeit benefitting the likes of Hungary rather than UK. NB for context I voted RemainOriginally posted by SithHappens View Post

No, it demonstrates how under handed Starmer is, not discussing this in parliament and letting opinions be known.Originally posted by SithHappens View PostI'd say it more demonstrates what a pack of lies the leave campaign was.
But Starmer has worse things to worry about at this moment .
It seems all over social media, that the Ukranian who fire bombed his house and knew which was his car, is a (cough) Male escort.
Things are hotting up.
Get ready for a super injunction and cover up .

We discussed this at length (to say the least) before your time here, my opinion before and after the vote was that both sides were liars (they were politicians after all), just that Leave were better at itOriginally posted by SithHappens View PostI'd say it more demonstrates what a pack of lies the leave campaign was.

Nothing came of the other rumours, nothing will of this one.Originally posted by Trickytreesreds View PostNo, it demonstrates how under handed Starmer is, not discussing this in parliament and letting opinions be known.

Doesn’t really matter what was discussed at length before Sith joined us. What really matters is what has happened since and all the promises made for a brighter future out of the EU have, since 2016 - or 2019 if you prefer - now been proved to be groundless.Originally posted by Andy_Faber View PostWe discussed this at length (to say the least) before your time here, my opinion before and after the vote was that both sides were liars (they were politicians after all), just that Leave were better at it
The Brexit campaign was built on lies. Several on here recognised that at the time. You claim to have voted ‘Remain’ so even you must have suspected. Time to stop defending the indefensible actions of Farage and Co. and recognise that, although they may have done very nicely out of it, our country certainly hasn’t.

Sounds an easy get out when someone is spreading unsubstantiated rumours, just say ah he must have got a super injunction. You can't just get one like you can a pack of smarties.Originally posted by Andy_Faber View PostI?m not suggesting Tricky?s right, but ?nothing will come of it? is the whole point of super injunctions
I just don't believe there is any credence in the rumours spread about starmer since he was elected. it would have hit the media in some form by now.

My point is that we plebs will never know (I dont mean about Starmer I mean about anyone). And no, WE cant get them but THEY (the wealthy/well connected) can. My point is more a reflection of my dislike of super injunctions as a thing in general.Originally posted by SithHappens View PostSounds an easy get out when someone is spreading unsubstantiated rumours, just say ah he must have got a super injunction.
