Which bit of mista and I repeatedly expressing doubts about Corbyn do you not understand.

Mista couldn’t bring himself to vote at all and I only voted Labour because where I live it was the only (admittedly unlikely) way to oppose Johnson and because I object to being represented by a Basildon based barrister.

I don’t know mista, although I think he speaks a great deal of sense about both politics and football, but the idea that either of us, or anyone on here, were waiting for a ‘Red Dawn’ is laughable.

I condemn anyone advocating violence.
This country allows anyone to protest.

But I struggle to accept this danger of the far right, when it is actually the far left who organise these mini or full blown riots as frequently as they do. Usually waving, pre printed sociallist worker banners.
In fact, whenever there is a far right protest (eg EDL), there is always a far left counter demonstration trying to instigate a confrontation or clash. Even when the EDL one was officiated, ANTIFA spring up out of no where and get away with it.

Tricky if you ever take the time to read my posts properly you will see that I've never endorsed Corbyn. As for the result well if you give a party a 311 seat start as Farage did then don't be surprised at the result Its people's choice if they want to vote for an egoistic pathological liar who will sell them down the river .That's their perogotive I will that you and your ilk but it's not for me thank you

My concern is that quite where a centrist party with influence will emerge from is a mystery!! I certainly don't see a centrist party emerging from the current Labour Party, from the Tories you're having a laugh whilst the Liberals are.... well the Liberals, a nonentity!!
Obviously one would look to the Labour Party as the best hope but they are now totally controlled by Militant and Momentum leaving the more centre elements, many of whom have already been pushed aside, in the shadows. The new leader will be from their stable or at least someone who they can control. When it was pointed out that their manifesto had been rejected by the voters Momentum's reply was 'then we need to educate people'! To me that means 'indoctrinate'!
No, the far left are staying and quite how us more centrist leaning individuals can change that is of some concern!! I don't hold out much hope!!

If the cabal controlling the party appoint another corbynista then those members to the centre have to break the party up and split away. If they cannot control their destiny themselves, they have to leave the 50 or so extremists and fight alone. It may have to be a long term plan, but it may be the only way to extract the poison. With Brexit off the agenda and Corbyn and his acolytes no longer an embarassment, winning back the red wall should not be impossible

That might then attract across BJ defectors? It's not going to happen the other way first as the blue team won

If that means a fairer and more egalitarian society, far fewer on zero hours contracts and dependent on food banks along with greater investment in public services then yep...guilty as charged.

A lot will depend now on which Johnson turns up as PM. If it’s the one who fancies himself as a ‘one nation Tory’ unifier then let’s give him a chance. If it’s the ERG driven, narcissistic Churchill wannabe then heaven help us.

With that, St. Peter escorts him to the lift and he went down, down, down to Hell. The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.
Everyone is very happy and dressed in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people. They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar, and champagne.

Also present is the Devil, a very nice, friendly guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes. They're having such a good time that before he realises, it's time to go. Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves as the lift rises...

The door opens in Heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him. 'Now it's time to show you around Heaven.'

So, 24 hours pass with the MP joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing harps and singing. They have a good time and, before he realises it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns. 'Well, you've spent a day in Hell and another in Heaven. Now choose your eternity.'

The MP reflects for a minute, then answers: 'Well, I would never have thought it before, I mean Heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in Hell.' So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down down to Hell.

When the doors open he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and refuse.

He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the rubbish and putting it in black bags as more garbage falls from above.

The Devil comes over and puts his arm around his shoulder.

'I don't understand,' stammers the MP, "yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, danced and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened? '

The Devil looks at him, smiles and says, ' *Yesterday we were campaigning* ...
