Great news! He can't make the step up to Premier League, but is brilliant at this level, and sorting out our backline is a priority for me.

100% agree. Not the greatest, but more than capable, totally reliable and usually available.
Think Eustace has proved he knows how to sort that back line.

IIRC that's the 3rd CB we've been linked with and the season only ended a week ago. We have Langas, Clarke, Nelson, Fozzy, Rooney, Nyambe and Wilson (OK, so he's better going forward), all of whom can play CB in a 3 (5) man defence. Many are hoping we can entice Phillips back, which is unlikely considering his current wage. Do we really need more CBs?

Derbyshire Live have us as having had an approach ‘knocked back’ to take former Leeds United defender Cody Drameh on loan from Hull City. They also say French Ligue 1 teams Reims and Toulouse are after him as well...

Assuming Langas, Clarke and/or Nelson are first choice, then Fozzy and Rooney can provide cover, so on the face of it no, but then Nyambe and Wilson are more WB than CB and have had injury issues, plus FOzzy is going to be used sparingly and is Rooney up the championship? So I'd guess 1 more would be required to provide more depth, but certainly not a priority. I'd ahve though creative mid fielder and 2 Strikers even if 1 is a loan would be first.

Still its all speculation and the majority of the names never get signed so we shall see.
