Pol Valentin, an athletic and pacy RB soon to be a free agent, seems the latest we’re said to be strongly linked with.Originally posted by MadAmster View PostCov poster on FB linked us with Ellis Simms yesterday and Haji Wright today.
77 appearances for Wednesday over the last two seasons bodes well and he seems to be highly thought of in Sheffield.
Of the other strong rumours. I always liked Weimann first time round, but he’s getting on a bit for a player who relies on pace and always seemed a bit injury prone.
Danny Batth seems like a good prospect. Vastly experienced at Championship level and based in the West Midlands a move to Derby would suit and be much easier than his current Blackburn commute. Well known to JE I’d imagine if we sign him that would complete the CD signings and signal the end of our interest in the impressive but expensive Nat Phillips.
In Eustace we trust.

Okay…I know you’re bored GP, but it was just a comment. We’ve been strongly linked with one from Lincoln, one from Wolves, one from Blackburn along with signing Clarke, Fozzy and still having a supposed interest in Phillips. I’m all for building from the back and have the greatest faith in our ownership and management, but it would be nice to see some progress on the goal scoring/creative front. That’s all.Originally posted by Geoff Parkstone View PostThe minute we sign one, not are subject to press speculation only, I'll agree with you!

You do realise that NONE of the bull**** you seem concerned about has any basis in fact until it manifests itself on the Rams website, not to mention that the window is currently closedOriginally posted by ramAnag View PostOkay…I know you’re bored GP, but it was just a comment. Oops! No, I’d never thought of any of that. Just thought it might be relevant to consider the current rumours. Apparently not.Originally posted by Andy_Faber View PostYou do realise that NONE of the bull**** you seem concerned about has any basis in fact until it manifests itself on the Rams website, not to mention that the window is currently closed

That's you told RA! I doubt many of these rumours will become reality, most times a player is signed that hasn't been mentioned. The rumours are based on players Eustace has managed before or players that are available. Meanwhile in the back ground Eustace and his recruitment team will be working on a plan.Originally posted by ramAnag View PostOops! No, I’d never thought of any of that. In any case there wil be multiple targets for one position, there always needs to be an option b or c in case they can't sign option A.

Just a different POV RA and sorry, maybe unfair to aim my pov at you. I?ve never understood the value in the spreading or subsequent consideration of rumours, even more so getting upset/frustrated because they are the wrong type of rumoursOriginally posted by ramAnag View PostOops! Kind of makes one wonder what the point of starting such a thread was back in very early May. Now who was it who did that?Originally posted by Andy_Faber View PostJust a different POV RA and sorry, maybe unfair to aim my pov at you.
