Avoided injury at Agincourt to help us to a win against the odds a few years back, so lets hope for a repeat in the next few days

A proper day of Test cricket yesterday. Long way to go though. Hope Stokes is okay. With the best will in the world can’t see Archer managing more than three or four 5 over spells in a full day in these conditions and at this stage of his recovery. Hoping we can bat till tea and score 400+. Anything more would be a bonus.

Will be hard graft first hour just to survive I reckon. Owt over 400 will be more than acceptable.
Just hope Archer is used with caution, really needs kid gloves and time to become 'test orientated'.

Just switched on. Oh dear. Take some saving now, but Pant’s off…which just goes to show the importance of apostrophes.

Wait till both sides have bowled on the strip.... but I love your negativity - we won the 1st one following a similar downer

We did indeed…but I love your selectivity - we lost the 2nd one by 336 runs!

I don’t think it’s negativity. I hope we win and I don’t believe the series is beyond us but they, undoubtedly, have better bowlers and IF Stokes is injured and Archer being nursed back to fitness it will be hard.

We lost the second one heavily yes - yet curiously you weren't bemoaning our performance in that game!! Just the first and now the third. Anyway Smith and Arse will see us to 500....

Good recovery for the 8th wicket, certainly need plenty of runs in the bank to help our bowlers against a strong batting line up.

                      Not now they won?t!
Hardly ?bemoaning?, just saying it?s going to be hard in these conditions. Think England need to play without breaks, always seem vulnerable after lunch.

Fifer for Bumrah, we just can't handle him. Good 50's for Smith and Carse whilst Archer sends down a peach to open his account, can an otherwise average bowling attack get control?? Prob not!

                            Even more omnibus!
Instead of digging in we're climbing into the hole we've dug!

Well we have a sniff. Could it be that India lose the two games with Bumrah and win the one without. Doubtful but there's an outside chance....
