Only watched the 1st half and decided fresh air and walking the dog was a better option. Boring 1-0 wins were our success story last season but Jim seems totally incapable of blending defence with attack so it's yet another draw and the wait for a win goes on,it won't be in the next game or probably the one after either. I honestly dont know where our next win comes from and when we get it it's likely to be surrounded by more defeats and occasional draws.

We seem capable of getting bodies back to defend but not to support our strikers, leaving them isolated.
We really need to get lucky in the transfer window again.
All in all...it could be a valuable point at the end of the season and was a clean sheet. Brutal on the eyes and enough to get football banned, but a point is a point!

I think most of us would have taken a point given the form of both clubs. But what borefest compounded by more poor officiating.
Whether you believe the match stats or not, their passing accuracy was far better than ours and they always seemed to have a man to pass to, there never seemed to be an outlet for us, with too many opposing players between our ‘passer’ and the receiver.
The team was lopsided with only 1 attacking winger unless you count Sapsford as such, I don’t think that this is his position. Yes up front but in a 4-4-2 formation, possibly a 4-4-1-1 or 4-5-1.
Something isn’t right and as much as I support JG, I’m not sure he can work it out either! Anyway another tough game on Wed and we need to be much better.
Cmon united!

We line up supposedly 343 but the wing backs play as full backs making it 523 with the two in midfield chasing shadows!
No wonder we create very little going forward.
JG has to see this but!!!
So poor today and special mention for Moller, poor doesn't begin to describe his minutes on the park.

Apart from the 1st 15 minutes of the 2nd half this game was fkn shockingly bad.
The standard from every team in this league and i mean EVERY team is as bad as i can remember and there used to be a phrase back in the the day "best of the rest" when describing a team or teams that used to get near or usually finish 20 points behind 1 of the infirm but there's none....Hearts are fkn mediocre,The Sheepies have spent millions on an absolute square root of fk all team and Hibs are Hibs and will finish 5th as is expected but nothing else......as for us who knows?!?! 1 week we can be better than a team that cost millions to assemble then 2 weeks in a row we look like we can play all day and and not score against teams we should be more than matching......

I am a bit more optimistic. It was an ok point
If Sibbald scores from halfway or Fatah scores when he was close it changes our views
Whether we look back on this as a turning point will depend on next two matches
I thought the performance was better than feared but we have to start winning

The headlines I've seen seem to be focusing on the negative - "United extend winless run" narrative, but I actually feel surprisingly positive about this result. Obviously I wasn't at the game, so I don't have first hand knowledge of just how bad it was, but I was expecting a 2-0 or 3-0 defeat, so to get a point is a bonus for me. Also good to keep our first clean sheet since (I think) the 2-0 win v Aberdeen. Whatever we did defensively in this game has to be carried forward and reproduced in future games, with the introduction of some sort of plan to attack the opposition and cause them problems.
A lot is being made of our winless run (perhaps deservedly) but there have been some notable draws during that run - not many teams have come away from Tynecastle with a point this season. We also got a good point v the the Rangers and were disappointed not to have won.Last edited by PT_Arab; 14-12-2025, 09:24 AM.
