The reason i have looked into the above is for my world cup betting,i need to project how i think things will pan out for outright and pick the finalists betting. For example a lot of people without research may pick a Spain v France final but that's very unlikely if both win their groups as they would be more likely to meet in the semi's.England could meet Spain early if they finish 2nd in their group although that is very unlikely to happen.

I reckon they are in for a brutal set of fixtures against sides at home on that side of the world.

I predict a Scotland v New Zealand final, which we win on penalties with our new guy Randall missing the all important spot kick, but he goes on to have a stellar career under JG nevertheless as part of our new CB pairing 😋

So Naamo gets left out of the Iraq world cup squad after they convinced him to switch allegiance, what a f*cking way to treat the lad. Shambles, hope they get royally humped in every game.

Dykes gets the NO9 jersey to thank him for all his running about last season,Adams gets the coveted NO 10 shirt to give the Brazilians something to worry about and Shankland gets the NO 20 shirt to remind Clarke how many goals he scored for Hearts last season.

I reckon that Shankland was going to start v Haiti probably alongside either Hirst or Dykes but Stevie boy will have had the coaching team scurrying back from Haiti’s demolition job on NZ last night and they’ve likely put the schicter’s right up him after waxing lyrical about the Caribbean Crusaders. So, it’ll be 5-4-1 all the way for Canny Clarkie with Adams starting and Dykes replacing him for the last 20. At least Shankland will have plenty time to examine and enjoy his newly minted bank balance from the comfort of the bench.

In the first half Haiti looked like an amateur team--particularly the keeper. Luckily for them New Zealand were even worse. We should be looking to hump them because I reckon Brazil and Morocco will both give them about 6 or 7.

Watched the Haiti v Peru game in the early hours,Peru very lucky to win 2-1.Haiti were ahead for over an hour and conceded two goals in 3 minutes from corners. The speed of Haiti on the break was frightening so much so that Peru picked up 4 yellow cards mainly for hauling down opponents running past them.
                      but
The positive for us was how wasteful Haiti were on the break with their final pass or shot with the goal at their mercy,in one instance they created a 4 v 2 overload but the player in possession chose a weak shot with his 3 supporting players wide open for an easier finish.

Another positive was this is not the same Peru we faced in the 78 world cup,in the world cup qualifiers they won only 2 games out of 18 scoring only SIX goals in the process,Haiti conceding 2 from corners gives us hope but i would caution that the goals conceded were late on when their better players were on the bench.

There were some amount of Haitians at the game they easily outnumbered the Peruvians but there are nearly 500,000 of them in Florida and over a million of them in the USA overall.

Think Haiti topped their qualifying group too, so as much as I expect Scotland to win that game, don't expect it to be an easy win.

My gut feeling is this is going to be a substandard world cup, last world cup was great but it came smack bang in middle of season, this is end of long hard season, heat is going to impact pace of games, even the water breaks which are a necessity break any momentum of the game, we will have the selling out extended half time show in the final. Players in champions league final were dead on their feet after 70 mins. Then you have the fleecing the fans with scandalous ticket prices, but sole measurement of success for FIFA is making money. Then you have hosts who are hugely unpopular politically, though that stuff normally dies down once football starts. Remember all the soul searching about Qatar, but we're fine with USA banning fans from certain nations, threatening other nations, starting wars with whoever they want and raiding other countries leaders then saying their reason is for their oil.

It will be James,no way he would have played that system unless he was gonna employ it v Haiti. The one thing i would add is its very unlikely he will do the same v the other 2 in the group. If you read my Haiti match report you will know that they are a fast counter attacking team that's the one thing we need to guard against but their defence can be got at so we really need to go for it to get out of the group.
