Key loans like Dalby, Stephenson and Adegboyega all arrived after the Aug 4th derby opener
I'm still feeling relaxed although a bit more impatient than two weeks ago as expected 4-5 in by now but not like the manager and everyone isn't working on these things as he said in the courier
I just want us to get the right ones in ultimately
Only issue is our first competitive game the last two years we weren't ready (Spartans and Falkirk) , we need to be this time and have an extra ten days compared to then

That's what I'm saying though, people have been dropping hints about signings being imminent for weeks, and yet f*ck all is happening. Yet another week is about to end with zero happening. We have our first preseason game next week.Originally posted by JUSTaway View PostI think we will get a batch of signings next few days, and then will be dribs and drabs after that, some of our best signings were loan signings last season, they usually come late.

Yeah when it comes to loan players we don't control the timeline. Until the parent club makes a decision about their player and sometimes that involves other players coming in then we have to, beyond making enquiries, bide our time.
If we do get 5 in next week that will be 7 new players in before the kick off + any loans we bring in before the transfer window shuts.

My point still remains though. If players have been in getting medicals and terms are agreed then why aren't they being announced? Or are people talking shyte?Originally posted by arab777 View PostYeah when it comes to loan players we don't control the timeline. Cheers. So we have a new CB and Striker, a decent start, and if Alan Temple is correct it looks good for new additions in the next week or so.Originally posted by arab777 View PostYes. Interview.
Alan Temple saying on Twa Teams podcast up to 5 new faces in by the end of next week.
Could do with replacing the warrior leadership qualities of Kevin Holt in that cluster.

Some folk do get tempted to talk shyte at this time of year just so as to look itk 😁 Not so much on this board though.Originally posted by Arabdownsouth View PostMy point still remains though. Heard Ben Perry of forest U21 offered contract(loan) , Birmingham want him too. Forest u21 or B team just won Premier league international cup. He's CDM I believe.Last edited by bannon_ftd_83; 19-06-2025, 11:14 PM.

So we are looking to replace a good player we let go because of fitness issues with a good player with fitness issues! Smert 😕Originally posted by arab777 View PostAfter Panutche Camara Crawley Town. Midfielder with a lot of games in English football.
Crawley fans seemed delighted when he re-joined them last year but hints of fitness issues.

People probably just bored and desperate for signings too, tbf reliable journos are reporting there are bodies in the building waiting to sign. Sadly I think we can rule out any grand takeovers too, talk of takeovers seem to peak when we hit a bad spell, then go quiet when everyone is content. Been so many reputed stories of investors in the past that nothing has come from.Originally posted by Stoke_Arab View PostSome folk do get tempted to talk shyte at this time of year just so as to look itk 😁 Not so much on this board though.

"I have been living down in Surrey for many years and Sons FC Jr and I have season tickets for Crawley (youngster was brought up properly to support his local team!).
Panuche is an outstanding player. Non stop energy, he will give everything. He has pace, trickery and vision and has this uncanny ability to win the ball back when it seems lost. He is played either as the no 10 or out wide and he just skips past players. His one downside is he won't score many goals because he won't shoot.
I asked him about this when I met him and he said that he was jeered for missing a shot and feels he doesn't want that to happen again. He does score tap-ins and rebounds though!
A huge fans' favourite at Crawley, we would be really disappointed to lose him. I think he will be great for you and the fans will love him. I suspect the prospect of playing European football is a big attraction - and the very best of luck to him and to you in Europe."

Had a look at his YouTube clips. Looks a driving force from midfield, I like the look of him. Played plenty games last season too so whatever the fitness concerns at the start of last season seems to be behind him now. Doesn't look like a winger or an attacking midfielder though.Originally posted by arab777 View PostFrom another forum
