when you work in the private sector you know that if you work long enough and are good at what you do you'll end up with some winners along with the tough times of losing. However, the common thread is that if you are with a loser generally the investors fire the manager and move on a different direction.

Per MT's point, the winners generally have a very clear vision and execute well. The losers just flounder and flop around until they either fail or are bought by some better. In football that translates to relegation or promotion.

In either scenario the one option that never works is just sitting tight while you still have a chance to change up the tactics. We seem resigned to ride this out. The outcome is inevitable. It's still early enough with the right appointment we could possibly scratch out survival. Early on we were very competitive. Now, we look like we couldn't beat anyone.
Don’t be too depressed - it’s only a game after all.

Also remember we have been a basket case of a club for over a decade after the publicity Pete, Captain Birdseye and nonsense that came after that.

It will take time to get it right which the PL doesn’t give.

Farke has many many qualities but being a top league elite coach is not one of them. He was good for us in the EFl where his faults don’t matter as much.

The 49ers are learning on the job and discovering football at the top level is brutal and needs a (as MT set out) an experienced and dedicated top team.

I feel for Farke but his flush is busted and the owners need to grasp the nettle - not sure that they will.

Just saw some talking head pundit said that farke needs 3-4 points over the next 4 games. I guess we'll have a new coach shortly.

Normally, I hate international breaks with the heat of a thousand suns but this one I'm OK with. I figure coach will use that time wisely to beat them more into the correct mindset of not shooting until they can dribble the ball across the line and pass the ball back instead of pressing forward. For good measure he can have Gray, Gnonto, James and Piroe observe how to get better so that they can keep up watching the matches on game day at ER.

I do think it's critical that they be a little more patient with Farke. Hold off long enough so that Silva, Rogers or any other potential replacements are committed elsewhere. Sometime in late January should be about right.

And we can pay him an obscene amount of money with absolutely no conditions attached.

Nope, but hopelesslyoptimistic got the full monty of FA coaching certificates. 🤐

Rumour is he now has a simple plan of attractive attacking football that guarantees DCL a hatrick three times a month.

I also gotta Bronze life savers certificate to pull folks out of deep waters to help him out when his tactical A to Z plans make no difference & my array of 'motivational certificates' plus a Girl Guides First Aid Skills Builder badge which may be useful if I become his Assistant. 👍

Maybe 2 months, just to be on the safe side.

                            • I see Rangers are sacking the CEO plus the Sporting Director... maybe 49ers can follow suit at LUFC. Am confident DF didn't suggest the choices or tell the board, pre season that he was happy to hang his hat on the forwards he has been given. Just because he doesn't moan about it, doesn't make him in cahoots.
Yes rotation and substitutions could be better, but i thought we deserved a point yesterday
Am fairly sure he will be the fall guy.. 7 of the next 8 games v teams in top 10.

The dogs on the street knew we would get beat yesterday.
Villa weren't really that good but they knew they could beat us in the second half.
We're that bad, the Rev even predicted it.
