As you know?you can?t fire the whole team so the manager is the fall guy. Not always fair but then life is also not fair
I do think Farkes lack of creativity and tactics has made this much worse than need be. We are going into a stretch of 4 games with little chance of getting any points. Time to change and see if any miracles can happen
One thing is sure. If we do nothing we are relegated and lose some players mentally for for rest of time with us
I do think we will be in a better position next year in the championship due to better contracts

His stubbornness around changing set-up and making earlier subs is a biggy. I doubt he said he would be fine with a has-been who never actually was....DCL. Bijol is cr4p. No pace in team apart from a fit James. Aaronson hectic. No play-maker. No real flare - apart from Okeydoke. We are goosed I tell ye.

The question is will they or won?t they.
The Villa game could be our Liverpool away game under Ted . And we all know how that one panned out.
We all know Farkes flaws and he basically got away with it in the championship but you pay the price for it in this league.
49ers definitely did not give him the best hand in the forward positions.
Stick with Farke and we 100% play championship football next season.

We all seemed to think Bjol was the answer at centre half, it now seems a big no, arms around attackers in the box, slow and out of his depth, struik amazingly now seems a better bet, oust arronsson, bring back struik, Gnonto and Dan James, give bogle a bench and put Justin James in, try harry gray and then pray.

Farke has shown, beyond reasonable doubt, that he will not (cannot) change how he coaches or the strategies/tactics he is willing to employ, irrespective of the resources at his disposal or the circumstances his team is expected to perform in.
49-ers Enterprises have shown themselves to be naive as club owners, hugely inexperienced and unaware as to how professional football at the highest levels shiyld be played and the organisational expertise required to make that happen.
As has happened so often over LUFC history, the supporters are the only constant, there through thick and thin, there to try and lift the team when losing or under other pressures and to celebrate on those rare occasions when victory is ours.
I don't really pay much attention to the day to day. Why should I, or others, when the powers that be show themselves to be lacking in any commitment that is close to that of the most sceptical of supporters? Marathe cares less about LUFC than he does about the future of Rangers and their future in Europe. LUFC is now a money pit to 49-ers Enterprises, with large amounts required to bolster an underperforming squad, an equally dismal coach and a ground that is a disgrace to the Premiership requiring tens of millions to be spent and with no prospect of relocation.
No coach with a brain would want to replace Farke. No player with a brain would want to join a club whose owners have shown themselves to be impecunious in the extreme, strategically incompetent and as duplicitous as any we have suffered to date (including pi55y pants, the false sheikhs, the mad italian, not forgetting the dear departed chap who tried mortgaging the ground whilst trying to hawk the club to the 49-ers).
Only LUFC, others can only have nightmares of replicating our story.

Wanna get Ampadu back in centre of defence to release a midfield birth, imo. It will keep his body out of harms way with less stress & strains upon it too & give us more tenacity in midfield which has defo been lacking.Originally posted by norfolk white View PostWe all seemed to think Bjol was the answer at centre half, it now seems a big no, arms around attackers in the box, slow and out of his depth, struik amazingly now seems a better bet, oust arronsson, bring back struik, Gnonto and Dan James, give bogle a bench and put Justin James in, try harry gray and then pray.

Fiddling while Rome burns.......wholesale change required but those in the pisition(s) to do so can't or are simply incapable of (short and longer term).Originally posted by Monaco_Totty View PostWanna get Ampadu back in centre of defence to release a midfield birth, imo. It definitely showed in pre season our lack of enticing players to elland rd when most of our recruiting efforts ended up at Sunderland, look how that’s going, this is the team that got into the premier by the absolute skin of their teeth, we ended up with injury prone has beens and second hand rejects no one else wanted, proved it when we all waited with baited breath for harry Wilson to be our saviour, that’s all we had left, oh dear oh dear.

Comment I heard over the last few days which made sense.
Farke predictably makes reactive subs very late in the game and the other manage knows there is a window if 20 to 30 minutes where they can change up the game without response. Also the fact he doesnt rotate much means they can analyse and plan for what Leeds weaknesses are.
Last year are best midfield combo Rothwell and Tanaka wasnt planned it arose purely due to injuries and for the first couple of games they werent match sharp so took time to hit form.
Same might be happening with Bijol.
We need to be canny with all these small marginal things but Farkes way seems to allow them to be al the reverse and adversely impact us.
Should have gone weeks ago but I expect him to be there in Jan.
49ers are commercially very savvy but when it comes to football are missing a lot of tricks.

Sunderland recruitment ?Originally posted by norfolk white View PostIt definitely showed in pre season our lack of enticing players to elland rd when most of our recruiting efforts ended up at Sunderland, look how that?s going, this is the team that got into the premier by the absolute skin of their teeth, we ended up with injury prone has beens and second hand rejects no one else wanted, proved it when we all waited with baited breath for harry Wilson to be our saviour, that?s all we had left, oh dear oh dear.
A success for one reason - 'Effective communication'.
1. Clear Vision
The club had a well-defined plan, with a two-pronged strategy, one for staying in the Championship and one for promotion. They adapted their existing model of signing young, high-potential players by also adding crucial experienced players to compete immediately in the PL
2 .Personal Touch & Data Analysis
The owner, Kyril Louis-Dreyfus was personally involved using his private jet to bring Xhaka to Sunderland which demonstrated the club's ambition & commitment.
This personal touch combined with a heavy reliance on data & analytics to identify suitable players ensured a thorough recruitment process.
3.Managerial Influence
Their French born Manager from my region of Breton, Regis Le Bris also played a part in fostering a strong team ethic among the largely French speaking new arrivals, helping them quickly form strong bonds buying into the clubs ethos & local fan base.
A fan base their manager totally connects too as Sunderlands locality is very similar to the people of ports of NW France where he was from & he knows what they expect from a team who represents them - which shows, imo.
In essence, a well-executed plan, financial backing & power of early marquee signings which helped Sunderland attract a higher quality of players.
Thats what we lack, a well run coordinated recruitment team with a hands on CEO.

Can I just say how depressed I am
when you work in the private sector you know that if you work long enough and are good at what you do you'll end up with some winners along with the tough times of losing. However, the common thread is that if you are with a loser generally the investors fire the manager and move on a different direction.
Per MT's point, the winners generally have a very clear vision and execute well. The losers just flounder and flop around until they either fail or are bought by some better. In football that translates to relegation or promotion.
In either scenario the one option that never works is just sitting tight while you still have a chance to change up the tactics. We seem resigned to ride this out. The outcome is inevitable. It's still early enough with the right appointment we could possibly scratch out survival. Early on we were very competitive. Now, we look like we couldn't beat anyone.
