Something disconcerning were farkes comments yesterday in saying he knew what he was getting into with us and was his thinking he would be lucky to last 3 months because of our record with managers last 20 years.

I?ve been guilty of not being fully convinced.
Not sure why he is so hard to feel genuine warmth for but his record this season is pretty astonishing. 22 clean sheets, possibly 100 points, possibly 100 goals.
On his record he deserves a chance. Stuart Dallas interviewed him last night and managed to get a response from behind the mask a little and maybe there is a hidden side to him that only the players get to see.
Would be a very surprised if he doesn?t get a go in the PL and far rather him than some of the names being bandied about in the press.
Now if only ??

I don?t always like the type of football he engineers but the last few games have shown just how good this team is. Bristol City are no mugs but they were never in the match last night.
DF was never given a chance in the PL with Norwich and for me he has earned this with us. Yes, this squad should have done well and it did. The job of getting rid last year of unwanted players, getting new players in and making a fist of that first season was commendable. This season he succeeded and took us back to the PL. He?s done everything asked of him.
Next season there will be an influx of new players and players to leave. DF knows the core of the next team, knows how Leeds works and we all need to see if he can cut it in the PL with proper backing. The 49ers hopefully step up and he fulfills an ambition of being successful in the PL.
Having rebuilt a squad fit for purpose, getting promotion, he deserves our backing. Nice he got his song last night too.

Never got the backing at Norwich as they just couldn’t afford it, Leeds can, the last few games when the pressure has been really on Leeds have been brilliant, farke has never flinched all season, been calm, humble and respectful, he not only deserves to be premier league manager but is the right man for us, mourhnio…..dear god, no thanks, borefest with him, the players are all behind farke, and the fans are now, one and a half seasons in the premiership with Norwich is no way to judge him.

Can't knock Farke for the job he has done , absolutely brilliant.
The slight stain , and it is a tiny stain , was his persistence with Meslier which was stupidity in my opinion , put Darlow in that net after the Sunderland game and we would already be champions and on about 112 pts by now.
Suppose he wanted to show loyalty but for me at times you just have to be ruthless.
Interesting summer transfer window coming up as well , both ins and outs.

We are very good right now. Definitely a prem level of play. we would have destroyed any of the 3 teams that went up last year the way we are playing. The Darlow move allowed our defense to just play defense rather than trying to totally prevent any kind of offensive push by the other team.
I can't agree more on Hop's comments on getting high paid cast offs and rejects. We have some very good prem level players including Tanaka, Solomon, Ampadu, Bogle, James, Gnonto, Strujik, Gruev. I hope we sign Firpo but think he want's spain. Hope we sign Rothwell as well. Darlow, Piroe, Byram are excellent backups. Young Gray, Joseph and Chambers could develop. Signing high priced projects and elders sends the wrong message.
Torn on Farke. He is steady as can be and the team plays easy on the eyes football. Just wish he subbed and developed the youth a little quicker.
I know the owners have invested 100's of millions of dollars but really wonder if this should not be a call by the staff and players. Fantasy land thinking on my part but stranger things have happened.

Can?t disagree with that either. Makes me wonder if there is a stubborn side to DF that might be his Achilles down the road. I?m sure it was fan pressure that made that change. Just think how we might have played with Darlow in from the start. Anyway, he has my backing and deserves it imoOriginally posted by norfolk white View PostAgree with rev about farke and meslier, stayed loyal far to long which was almost farkes downfall, apart from that?.brilliant for me.

This owners are going all out ffs now they are into cricket. They will come unstuck. Red bull is our only saviour long term.Originally posted by spaldy View PostWe are very good right now. Agree with the Rev and all about too much loyalty, but it?s not a bad trait in someone. Hopefully he has learnt. Also we are likely to be near the other end of the league mostly, so loyalty will have to be shorter term . (Can just see some on here creaming their pants for next years struggles)
I remember The Don being accused of loyalty too, allowing the great team to all grow old together when it needed freshening up? MOR
