  • I wonder if China would be now thinking this is a great time to take Taiwan? America being weak with Trump not wanting to commit troops on foreign soil. It would seem to be the ideal time for that to happen.

Trump will make himself appear the winner regardless of who cheated.

I think China will sit it out for now. Even if Trump gave them a full-on green light, if they invaded Taiwan today it would be a very messy affair, almost guaranteed to result in the destruction of almost everything of value they might otherwise gain. China is on an upward power curve.

I think a more likely extreme near term risk point is the last year of Trump's current term, 2028. But that depends on who will replace him.

As this article discusses, trump held up the transfer for 55 days, and his "request" for Zelensky to dig up fake dirt on biden was a direct response to Zelensky talking about getting more Javelins. It was literally his reply in the same conversation.

So how and where were these well established facts "debunked"?

Regarding Russian politics and your immense expertise therein, please enlighten us:

          1. Who will succeed Putin in the event of his death?
          2. What is this person's policy and attitude to the Ukraine war?

Regarding Zelensky's "peace proposal" that he "reneged" on, please link it. Show me this proposal. Show evidence of its existence. I've asked for this many, many times before and you've provided nothing of substance. This is a Kremlin narrative and it's a lie.
The Trump administration has approved the $39M sale of defensive lethal weapons to Ukraine, according to two U.S. officials and another source familiar with the plan.

          From the article:

(Quote) The Trump administration has approved the $39 million sale of defensive lethal weapons to Ukraine, according to two U.S. officials and another source familiar with the plan.

The sale of Javelins is not part of the nearly $400 million of military assistance that the White House had ordered the State Department and Pentagon to withhold a week before Trump's call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. That aid, which has since been released, included assistance for maritime security, special operations units, secure communications and light weapons like sniper rifles and rocket-propelled grenade launchers. (End Quote)

          • From the article you just linked:

"We are ready to continue to cooperate for the next steps, specifically we are almost ready to buy more Javelins from the United States for defense purposes," Zelenskiy told Trump, according to a memo of the call released by the White House on Sept. 25.

"I would like you to do us a favor though," Trump responded, asking Zelenskiy to work with his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani to investigate Crowdstrike -- an apparent reference to what has repeatedly been described as a debunked conspiracy around the 2016 presidential election that posits that the Democratic National Convention's server, which was hacked by Russian intelligence, is missing and in Ukraine.

As I said, this is factually incorrect. He was impeached for withholding a different package worth $400m that did not contain the heavy weapons. Try to keep up, ok?

I?ve actually been consistently on topic all along: If Trump were a Russian asset he would not have supplied heavy weapons to Ukraine. And no, he didn?t withhold heavy weapons from Ukraine in an attempted exchange for a Hunter Biden investigation - that was a different package that he withheld that didn?t include heavy weapons.

It?s really quite simple., and as I said, try to keep up.

                    • Is he saying this to appease certain sectors but with a nod and wink to his mate Putin?

BBC:Trump says he's considering fresh sanctions and tariffs on Russia published at 14:30
                      14:30

Donald Trump says he's considering new sanctions and tariffs on Russia, following a wave of overnight strikes on Ukraine.

He writes: "Based on the fact that Russia is absolutely 'pounding' Ukraine on the battlefield right now, I am strongly considering large scale Banking Sanctions, Sanctions, and Tariffs on Russia until a Cease Fire and FINAL SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT ON PEACE IS REACHED.

"To Russia and Ukraine, get to the table right now, before it is too late. Thank you!!!"

                      • Trump cannot get a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine unless Ukraine completely surrenders and no longer exists as a sovereign state. That is what Putin wants till the day he dies. We all know what kind of creature Putin is and he will never change. Rightly Ukraine wants a fair peace with cast iron safe guards that Putin will not attack again. Trump may get a deal with Putin provided Putin gets everything he wants. Ukraine may decide they prefer freedom instead of being under the Russian rule. That's why Trump says Ukraine is difficult to deal with and he cannot get a fair deal for Ukraine. Trump is a blackmailing bully who hates to lose and hates anybody who stands up to him like the president of Ukraine. The brave Ukrainian have stood up to Russia for over 3 years I believe they will go down fighting for their freedom.

If they do it's a very small effect compared to the impact of the huge (comparatively) production runs.
I didn't know that. I knew they were good, but I thought the project turned into a huge money pit coming in way over budget.

And saying that in a public statement means Delon Trusk (like the new name?) has given an ok to Putin to keep up the destruction of Ukraine whilst accusing Zelensky of refusing to surrender and thus laying the blame at his door.

                                Unbelievable Jeff!
