I'd hope he's not the planned replacement for McGoldrick and is there to challenge Grant for a spot.

Never seen him play and it's a better signing than Edwards so I'll see him as a replacement for him.

Why did the mighty York City send him on loan to Hereford and kiddy before releasing him?

Gagliardi makes me nervous. Pompey and Leyton Orient fans don't have a good word to say about him. This is the sort of signing I'd expect a team like Sutton or Woking to make. Surely we've moved on and can do better?

Norwood sounds like his signing. He watched him a few years ago & tried to sign him. Can't have seen him last season as he was out the Country & Norwood injured

              You gotta love this:

''He left Walsall due to a knee injury, and began working in a fried chicken shop''.

Shame cos, ''Booyah, it's Kouhyar'' would have been a damn fine chant.

York fan here. This one's a bit of a surprise. Maz is skilful and works hard. He didn't really fit in with what our new manager wanted last season .He'll do some good things and probably initially impress you. But whether he can do it consistently is doubtful. He's very good in the 6th tier

Get ready for a long slog this season.
4 weeks & no bros review of last season. They aren't enticing floating /new fans at the minute.
Need to pull a few rabbits out the bag so to speak

Sounds an inferior version of Connor Grant .Perhaps thats it he is an understudy to Grant.

Very "left of field" signing but we will see.

This makes me nervous about the DOF. No way a team hoping to challenge near the top should be signing a player with this type of profile.

As said before fans elsewhere don't anything positive to say about him. If this is the calibre of player we can expect. We will be in big trouble.

As always, a player's past history is a good clue as to what he can do on the pitch.

And he's not even our first Afghan international

It feels to me like we're heading for a rebuild season where we won't be challenging for promotion.
Not too sure how patient us fans are going to be with that.
Not getting promoted last season has clearly caused serious repercussions.

Never seen him play, so very much an unknown quantity.
His match appearance stats don't promote any enthusiasm about his signing.
I would gave been more inspired to have signed Ash Hemmings who scored 30 goals , last season for Harriers in 47 matches.
AH , however, is 34 and signed a new deal on 24 th May 2025.
