If the player is comfortable and the wage offered is descent then it's a yes or no. I hate this. "Well I will talk to other clubs and if they don't offer more I will be back".

There may well be still 6 weeks of the window left pal, however, in the meantime while we dither with these two, other players that may well have fitted our needs are getting snapped up. For me it would be sign by next Friday or the deal's off the table then see how they react.

Grist, but we are dithering. IF these two take it to the wire and then say no and sign elsewhere, that is precious lost time where WE could have looked elsewhere had we been given earlier notice they weren't signing. We need an answer by the end of next week imo.

I gave them a deadline of 6pm yesterday but nobody took any notice of it If they end up with us after a lengthy delay then it would be begrudgingly as they hadn't got a better deal elsewhere.

beau, they are most likely are looking at others and I totally agree with what you've put.

The crux of the matter is the time and effort the club have already put into these two yet they are stalling, unless the Yearwood story is true and that just leaves Benson. What a stink it would cause if he re signed for Barnsley and yes, dafter things have happened in football!
