It's all over. Thank F for that I hear you all say as you can now look forward to a stress free Wordle week (until I come up with the next hairbrained idea ). The last 3 matches went true to the form seen through the competition where the home team advantage proved too much to overcome. With the top 2 both losing on the road. like Spain it's Adventus and his team who pick up the trophy whilst like England the rest of us (and particularly CT and BM) can only dream of what might have been. Thanks for playing along everyone.





...and just in case you feel robbed by that pesky 1 goal advantage given to the home team, here's how it would have looked if this was a straight Wordle competition. The fixtures highlighted in yellow show where the result would have been different and instead of 4/42 games ending in draws, 17/42 would have gone that way. Like it's real counterpart, Wordle football is a funny old game

Thought that was a clever and well thought out contest, CAM. Thank you. The ‘other’ set of results are very telling. I was frankly surprised I was doing quite well in the football league; the actual results prove the real situation.
