    • Another steady drive leaving a 6 iron to the green. Great approach shot within 10 feet.

      Putt doesn’t break left and runs 4 feet past. Steady uphill putt for a par 4.

        Unspectacular drive to start (1y), and got up near the green, but not on it, on my 2nd shot (2g+1y) I could think of at least 3 words it could be, so bunkered myself as I burnt my 3rd shot to try and give myself a better chance of a par.
        Turns out it was non of the 3 words I could think of 😫 (still 2g+1y) but on my 4th shot, with the letters I had left to use, i could only think of one more word it could be, and it wasn't that either😂 but it gave me another letter in it's proper place plus a different one (3g+1y) so my shot out of the bunker left me a 6 incher (if only said my wife &#128521 and I completed for a bogey 5.

        To which the reply came ‘yeah, he pushed it in twice’

        Haha ****ing ha.

        I’ll get mi coat. 😂

              • Thought the heavy drinking inspired my gameplay yesterday so just carried on drinking in the clubhouse overnight and sneaked a flask of single malt onto the bat carrier.

                Inspired opening serve - 2 g and 2 y. I changed my opening serve style yesterday and is paying off handsomely with alternating opening words. Worked a treat again - right onto the green thingy and simple pot for another buzzard. So excited I had another swig and fell over. Looking closely at the final put, it could only be one word!! The buzzard is mine! I shoot with a big grin and lo! It wasn't that word, it was a different ****ing word!

                In a fit of rage at being denied the predatory bird that I thought I had caged for the 2nd day running, I chased off a posh couple who looked at me funny whilst waiting for me to get my act together.

                Finally I converted the puck with my 3rd shot for a...what do you call it when you get a 3? I don't ****ing know. I hate golf.

                • Double Bogie 6

                  Sliced first shot out of bounds so was 2 off the tee
                  Thought I'd recovered with 3rd shot onto fringe of green
                  Then 3 putted !

                        Still waiting for Brin to dial in with his score for the compete Leaderboard update.

                        Has he lost one of his balls again?

                          • Rain rain and yet more rain but I chose to play through it. Wiped it from my eyes and drove well down what I thought was going to be a Par 3 today. 1g, 2y.

                            Grabbed an iron from the bag and whacked it hard, might as well used her iron from the cupboard! 1y, 2g.

                            On I went again stumbling over a divot and yet again 1y, 2g. Nothing wrong with the choices I made as they all made words….. but the wrong ones 😄

                            Chip onto the green with a hopeful whimper…. Yes! 4g

                            Right you two hat I’ve got you this time and heh presto 5g

                            +1over leaves me on +4 over after four holes.
                            At this rate I should be 5 for 5 tomorrow 🤣

                              1st Raging -4
                              2nd Howdy -2
                              3rd= CAM -1
                              3rd= CT -1
                              5th Ronners Par
                              6th Millertop +1
                              7th Bramley +3
                              8th= Brin +4
                              8th= Jake +4

                              Plenty to pay for but, so far, well done, Raging. For a non-golfing dipso you're doing amazingly well!

                              Jake and Brin, your fortunes are bound to improve. It could all look very different at the half way stage...

                              As I said, I am really enjoying the golfing vernacular. Keep it up!

                                Nice drive from the tee (2g) which set up a great 2nd shot (3g) onto the green within 2ft, and although these can be tricky, I put it straight into the hole, the wife was ecstatic (5g)
