So let me just check the position:

1. When Twitter was alive with the news that the Met had estimated the crowd at 3 million, you liked that and trusted the boys in blue to the point where you posted it on here.

2. When I pointed out that the Met had actually given an estimate of 110 to 150k, you decided that the boys in blue weren't to be trusted after all.

3. You are now relying upon a whole new body of self-appointed image analysts on Twitter who can look at aerial footage and say that the Met figures are wrong.

Good news for people concerned with rising immigration levels. Data from the Migration Observatory show that net immigration dropped by over 50% in year ending 2024 from the previous year.

The students being in the overall figure has always been mystifying. Only because it is usually the same coming in as what go out.
Why they put them in the figure has always caused problems for successive governments when trying to reduce the number of immigrants to under 100k
