why because he pplayed negative defensive footy ,which when you needed points as we did we needed to be more positive .under him then we werent

i still think that if rafa hadnt been more positive like he is now we would have gonde down

my point being these lads played to their stregnths are a top 10-12 team at least .not fizzy as some would say

we kept saying pardew pardewed them
so basically we were saying they are better than he is making them

but under rafa untill recently they were as good as when pardew managed them

it is only the fact that rafa has eventually realsised this and played to their strengths that he is getting a tune from them .

We have some good players and the rest are average prem players

    they arent fizzy players
as they walked that league and have deserved the right to be called prem players

    especially by their own fans
Rafa had most these players and took us down?

only 4 of Saturday's line up were even at the club when we went down.
Lascelles, Dummet, Shelvey and Perez, with only Darlow amongst the subs.

makes it worse then as he had better players we sold on

no! he had disinterested, demotivated players, players that have been moved on.

Toon fans have been tipped over the edge more than the world bungee jumping champion and whats the result?

The takeover rumours have started already but unless concluded soon Benitez will be in a funny position waiting to find out if its off or on .After the last round of talks , ending in Fatshly stating Stavely is a waste of time , is this all smoke and mirrors to muddy the water ?
lets hope not ... but there are only 2 (or 1) people in the world trust ashley and they both post on here.

Unfortunately we have a disgraceful owner .. If he was going to invest it had to be this season , but he chose not to.

look at his past form , letting rafa walk wouldnt effect the gate that much nor season ticket sales and the gamble would be back on to finish anywhere but bottom 3 again.

I await a statement from Stavely before i trust anything that comes from Ashley and his preferred media partners

I think you might be underestimating the effect of Rafa walking would have among our support.

Well if letting KK go , changing the name of the ground, chronic under investment, dennis wise, Kinnear , 5 years of P45due, 2 relegatations , the Carver fiasco hasnt impacted the crowd i doubt Rafa walking will cause mass walkouts either

    I agree.

What was incredible was the way the fans stuck behind Rafa through that rotten period of 9 games without a win. People point out that McClaren and Pardew would have had huge stick for that and they're right...but that just shows exactly what Rafa means to us.

If Ashley's refusal to invest leads Rafa to walk there'll be hell on. And before any smartarse questions what that would mean, I think it would have a huge impact. I think there'd be a massive drop in season ticket sales/upturn in camcellations, players would ask to leave whilst other players wouldn't want to come and the atmosphere would be at least as toxic as it was under Pardew.

Could be the straw that broke the camel's back.
